This is very encouraging!

I'll be taking my 4.8 truck to the track Friday. It has stock heads, LS6 cam, good springs, LS9 gaskets, head studs, E85 and a BW S372. I'm @ 15psi right now, no idea how much power or how fast it is. It's so hard to gauge how quick it is because it's in a truck haha. 4850lbs empty. I'm going to run it on 15psi and then go up from there. I'd like a 10s pass in it.

Very nice! Ha, you might not even go back to the 408......

If you're running the 1.23 housing, get a 1.08 and crank it up some more on that 4.8......oh and I'm sure you're running 2.5" mid pipes/crossovers which doesn't help the spooling

I wish I had the fab skills for this. I love seeing 4.8s and 5.3s put in work.

Saturday got rained out but I got to race today.

While checking the car over during tech I looked underneath and noticed this...

Over time and vibration the fuel solenoid nut worked its way off, the coil rubbed on the ground a little and the spring was gone. So I cut it off and tried adjust the tune enough to compensate for the dry N2O shot. I was going to run 150shot but reduced to 100shot to try it and log it first. So no spraying down the whole track (like my 1060whp dyno).

Pass #1
10.004@146.25
100 shot until 11lbs, 24.7 lbs at 71mph and up

Pass #2
9.92@145
150shot until 11lbs, 24.8lbs at about the same speed

Pass #2 In car vid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eloBy...ature=youtu.be

I wasn't getting the 60' I hoped for but I met my goal of a 9 second pass so I am very happy.

sweet. hard to change it when you know there is more left with a better 60'.

I'll be happy to run that good with my 6.0 at 3400 lbs.

Well i found the limit of the 4.8!

I was out making some vbox pulls yesterday.

Pull #1
5.9seconds 26.xlbs & 100shot towards the end of the run. So so first part of run.

Pull #2 ~27lbs & 100shot

Passenger Side of block by starter

Bolt from motor somehow lodged in caliper and scuffed up my boart wheel.

There's a turbo 4.8 on YouTube that went 9.39 @ 147 in a 280z. Full interior street car. Can't post the link on my phone sorry.

Way to go dude!!! What let loose? A rod bolt I imagine. My 4.8 only lasted about a month on 13 psi and 93 only. I'm thinking bad tank of gas and washed bores. In my neck 4.8s run $500-$600.

Nice if you could get the 60' down that setup would have run mid 9's but that still very impressive for under 300ci in a heavy car!
