ONLY if you want to make 900HP...

15 PSI should put you near 800.

Stock heads are what 61cc?
With a 9.5 CR
so down 2 points should make about 9.8 cR correct?
Hell many tuners want 10:1 or 10:4 CR for big boost especially if using e85 or 110 octane

And don't forget the LS9 gaskets will lower the compression a little. Maybe a tenth, so you'd be at 9.7:1 CR. Not bad at all.

Run it and let us know what happens. Plenty of people have done it before...

I dont run anything less than 10.0:1 but I run meth. That suoer low compression stuff is old school, more power you maie NA the more power youll make per pound and the easier it is to bring the turbo in. As long as timing is not cazy. I would look into the TU0 though but then again you d8dnt list what turbo your running.

Seriously?

Dude, do a search. The internet is your friend.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_Vortec_engine

Every spec you can imagine is out there... just ask a search engine...

http://letmegooglethat.com/?q=5.3+heads+spec

See?

So when I input specs I get more CR than stock

3.78 bore
3.622 stroke
4.100 bore head gasket
.051 head gasket thickness
59cc heads
-6.0 dome
.008 deck height
give me like 10.6

But If I dont use a negative input like it says then im at 9.36

Some CR calculators say to use a positive number for negative cc...

You have to read the fine print

9.36 sounds good to me for a turbo build.
That CC is kind of low but not much lower than stock being 61.15 and people are pushing well over 20 lbs on those stock 706 heads.
Just get a solid tune, high octane gas or e85

I wouldn't hesitate to throw 20lbs at that. 9.3:1 is good for a pump gas and meth setup

Using your numbers, with a 0 deck height I get 9.76:1. You say your piston is sticking out 0.08 above the deck, did you measure that? I ask because then your compression jumps to 11.86:1. If I go the other way and you piston is 0.08 in the hole I get 8.34:1

Check over your specs to be sure that's what you have for your measurements.

what is the bottom end, 5.3 or 6.0?
I think compression is too high if its a 6.0, but it will be fine on a 5.3
