non-intercooled ideas
i was thinking of putting together a low buck FI setup with this headunit and peacing the rest together low buck style over the winter. i was thinking no intercooler to keep the costs down but with the option too later. what parts and bits do i need besides the J bracket and pulleys to put this together myself over the winter.
the car/motor is a 99 with Futral F14 cam, stg 2 heads, Fast/NW 90mm, ewp, QTP LT's, 80lb injectors, 4" exhaust w/ no cats, t56, stock short block.
stock comp. ratio and i only run 92 -94 octane gas.
what size pulleys should i run to keep boost at a safe temp. with no intercooler?
what kind of performance can i expect?
i also have a direct port nitrous kit nib but our thinking was that for less money then the install of the Fast direct port we can get a 100hp from the P1sc with good gas, good tune, and 7-8 lbs of boost and have it all the time not have to fill bottles and the other big reason is that i dont drive the car enough to justify spending a dollar more then i have too considering where else i could be spending it.
has anyone else done something similar? i know more then a few rear mount turbo guys that didnt run I/C.
besides the head unit mounting bracket, a couple pulleys, some tubing, rubber connectors, what else do i need to cobble this together? at that low a boost do i need a BOV?
Might want to tune it if you want to spend the money.
