Ok finally got an update to my test with Denmah's sloppy trans brake. I made it to the track today when the track was hooking really well. Background info this car will only 60ft like a 1.95-2.0 out of first gear and was able to get a 1.65 60ft and 10.1@139 by leaving in 2nd gear. Today I was able to get that 60ft down to a 1.46 and that got me a 9.86@140 so I was super happy. So to all those wondering if this works, YES it absolutely does. THANKS DENMAH!!

Sorry, a little background info, car is a 93 fox coupe with full tubular suspension, stock lq4 and stock 317 heads with a cam and supporting mods, studs, ls9 gaskets and a stock 4l80 with a ptc converter that is really tight, and a tc76 with the 68mm exh wheel and a 3.5 inch dp and full exhaust. (quiet street car) Car weighs 3000 even (3160 with me in it at race weight).

I did it 5 of my 7 passes. All of the 60ft were 1.46-1.53, really good results imo considering without it and first gear it will only do 1.95 at best and 1.6x at best with a 2nd gear leave. It was kinda weird I thought it was going to be much more violent considering the downshift that happens but you don't even feel the downshift, you just let go of the button and it just blows through the brakes and takes off.

Are you using a switch/button to force 3rd on the line to stall/spool then release to drop down to 2nd and leaving off the line in 2nd? I don't know if I read your posts correctly, but it seems that you are dropping from 3rd to 2nd to launch off the line instead of going back to 1st.
