I looked into the treadstone intercoolers but ended up buying a core from Bell. When you do a side by side comparison the Bell cores have a higher fin density and lower pressure drop than almost every other core on the market, the new Garrett/Honeywell bar and plate cores are also pretty comparable and they both blow the china cores out of the water performance wise. I ended up with a 28x12x4.5" core which Bell rated to 1500 and still fits between the frame rails up front.

I recently did some testing and here are my results from the Garrett swap. Went from a Treadstone 25x9x3.5 (1300HP) to a Garrett 24.25x10x4.5. I used two garrett cores welded together part number 703521-6003.
Treadstone
17psi it gained 50* on a pull to 150mph
24psi it gained 80*
Garrett
18psi it gained 18*
26psi it gained 27*
31psi it gained 30*
Treadstone
17psi it gained 50* on a pull to 150mph
24psi it gained 80*
Garrett
18psi it gained 18*
26psi it gained 27*
31psi it gained 30*

Woukd have been cool to see cx racing in the testing to see if the treadstone is a happy medium in cost and efficiency.

I have had the treadstone sitting next to a CX and the cores look identical with the tread stone only having nicer end tanks
The tubulator density is identical inside and out on both, that being not dense

That treadstone core is 325.00 and the Garrett cores I used are 250.00 each. So 500.00 vs 325.00. As far as heating issues go my coolant temps have actually been more constant with the Garrett core. With the treadstone they would vary between 187 and 192. With the Garrett they stay at 190. Here is a pic of the Garrett vs Bell. The Garrett is on the bottom of the pic.

I went ahead and shelled out the bucks for a custom Bell $1197 to my door. Horizontal Core is 12.3" tall, 24" long, 4.5" thick, with 4" in/out (bottom of each tank). Overall length is 35" snout to snout. The tanks have diffusers in them to spread inlet air more evenly across whole core. Have not yet installed. Going to be some serious customizing but whats new. Those guys at Bell do beautiful work.

I have the treadstone twin turbo 1300 hp cooler.
Only data i have is iat rise. I saw 42 deg rise on 24 psi boost thru master power t70's. 48 deg inlet 90 deg outlet into the intake. 3rd gear dyno pull, th400, 401" sbc 7k rpm, 1009 whp sae.
Seems to work well and i am likely near its max rating.
I only tracked the combo at 12 psi and saw 30 deg rise, 90-120 deg thru 3 gears on a 70 deg ambient day
