The point is that shows like this suck because all that BS is unnecessary. Just because it is on Television doesn't means it has to be shitty. In my opinion the best shows are documentaries or just plain REAL ****. Drag racing has all the excitement i need, leave the fluff at home and get to more racing.

People don't get that street racing is illegal... I know I know... it's a shock, but it's true, it's illegal. Another little known fact is if you are witness to a crime, and do nothing, you can be charge with an accessory to the crime. So if this was 100% legit, the show would have a problem on their hands since they would be taping, airing, and encouraging illegal activities.
So what do they do. They do the best they can to keep the essence of street racing, but get the legal permits necessary to film and broadcast the activities. Fact is, it's a tv show, that costs money to produce and put on the air, which requires sponsors to pay for commercials and advertising. So the show producers have a responsibility to put the best show on tv. Does that mean it's fake, no, not really. Does it mean it's 100% real, legit, ehh, maybe not. But is it entertaining, absolutely.

For one , have you ever seen a show called. "LA street racers" ? That show looks real, at least for now it does. LOL.
Second, doesn't the degree of crime matter in regards to reporting it. For instance , you don't have to report if someone throws trash on the ground or goes above the speed limit.
I watch it sometimes, but I understand where some of the folks are coming from.
It's just something odd about acting like your worried about the police busting the race, if you had to pull city permits, and their probably blocking off the streets.
If you look at the info section on your TV guide for the show it does say "Reality" and Documentary" though.

Gay or not I love the show. lol I watched the LMR video calling them out. Win or lose the show tonight showed LMR getting their asses handed to them. Personally, they should just open with a fight first. Kind of like the pre lims before the main event. lol
I don't know if I would call any of them street cars except the farm truck. At least he drives his.
