formal update post

Due to rediculous import fees, i will not be selling the 3.0 car to my mexican friend, he has estimates over 3300 dollars so far in import fees and taxes etc, Honestly i just feel bad sticking him with that kinda bill, and i like the car, so i will keep it for now, what i am going to do now is, pull the weak point out of it wich is the gen3 4.8 and smaller turbo, and install the 5.3 i have and the better turbo and hotside and go nuts.

the black car is getting the 4.8 and a ls1 cam i have laying around and we will see how that does with the 60e, stock driveshaft and 7.5 rear end.

so that is the new experiment, saturday corey and i pulled the 4.8, removed the cam, and installed the ls1 cam, and installed it all back into the black car, going to be studding, and installing the isky cam, and then pac1218 valvesprings into the yellow car with the 2005 5.3l motor and the reiners hotside and s476 billet turbo.

should be nuts! this is the best choice i think because this yellow car has the fuel system, rear, trans, and converter to go nuts already.

also the hotside has arrived from my friend, check out that beaut

Holy **** man, that really is a beaut! Beauty motor mounts and whatever that other bracket is too!!! Kind of violates all of the basic tenets of a Sloppy Mechanics build, but hey, you gotta change it up to keep 'em guessing. Lol

Anyway, exciting stuff that you are going to have two cars running soon to keep us entertained with. You da man!

Nice ! but keep an eye on those flex couplers i had one on my Fairmont collasp and cost me some head gaskets. and they were back far away from the turbo . But I've used them before on plenty of my turbo cars and never had a problem so who knows. Lol!

U should go ahead and have the stock heads port and polished to the max...the nicest heads I recall you using was a stock 799/243 mismatch set lol but still hit over 700hp

Looks good!

Have you ever logged how many RPM you drop at shifts with that tripple D converter locked up? Or do you not lock it up?

i only lock it in high gear
its usually very tight in cars.

in the trucks the lockup will drop about 1000 rpm on average

video update is uploading

3.0 (yellow and gold) is waiting on head studs and springs, then going back in and grey car already has old 4.8 and turbo kit installed and ready to rock, waiting on sumped stock tank, and we are going to put the 60e yolk on the stock drive shaft and use the stock rear for fun, here is how they both sit for now
