Just a quick question, under normal driving conditions, we does your 80e lockup ? Mine is locking exactly at 60mph @2000 rpm. With 3.42 gears and a 235/65/17 and a 3200 circle D stall. Also, when you did run the aeromotive regulator did you run all -6 or -6 feed and -8 return. I'm trying to make 500 - 600rwhp with a mid mount GT45 on my 5.3/4l80e swapped s10

i always change it based on vehicle, but always highway speeds only.

usually in trucks i turn it off cept for 4th gear, and i make the enable low, like 40mph, so when you click 4th it locks, in case you are cruising a road somewhere at 40ish, then you dont have to wait for it to enable at higher speed, and then i just drive around in 3rd, when i want lockup i just click 4th and since the enable is so low, it does it.

then for WOT lockup, i just want to get it over 4000 usually and then i lock it up in 3rd.

in this car i am using the stock truck regulator. and 3/8ths -6 feed and return.

shifter is coming, going to convert the u joint on the stock driveshaft to 60e and use the stock drivesahft and rear and see how it all does for now.

going to change out the WG spring to like 6psi for now and see how it does, these appear to be 28lb injectors and i know people can make like 300-400 area, so i think we will see how far they go, the fuel lines are working good and i wired the pump in teh back of the car, that is working good, stuffed it all in a 2.5 gallon gas tank for now and fired the car a bunch of times today.

intake gaskets leak a little bit so those need to be swapped out soon, i have extras, should be driving this pig around this weekend for sure. or earlier

I've got the 28lb injectors on the 5.3 in my Monte and on the 5 pound WG spring they can just barely keep up. Datalogs show them between 100-105% on WOT runs. Not sure how they can go past 100%???? I think maybe that is just what the Megasquirt II is commanding and so the datalog reflects that. It will be interesting to see if the smaller displacement of the 4.8 allows you to push more boost before running out of injector.

I have not dynoed the car but I would say it is mid to high 300's hp wise. It is enough that it killed the 200-4R trans and smoked the posi in the 7.5" rear inside of two weeks lol.

The car looks great, keep up the good work!

putting some fo-mo-co back in the fairmont! 60# GT500 injectors installed. Running. Fans wired and tested as working! Just have to wire them into the ecu pins so it can turn them on! Shifter in tomorrow hopefully and then mike said the tank will be done this weekend.
