Well I suppose I should have made it clear that I was looking for 4 lug hubs instead of 5.. Well the used set I found where 5 oh well! Good thing I have a machine shop and some very experienced co workers at my disposal! I ended up throwing some ARP bolts in there for good measure. A plus to this is if I decide to change my rear end up in the future I now have the option to run 5 lug.

Here is my ground work for the E85 tune. I'm going to start playing with this and making changes as I see fit.

I run an auto so a bit different but that ramp rate should hook about anywhere on a decent tire, being IRS I don't know

You are around a 6psi/second rate there. Mine will put that down like a bracket car any day on that rate, 8-9 is where I would ride the edge and make it work more times than not, 10 or over nope

That is ramping from 4psi to whatever overall I wanted. It would hold any amount of power I could throw at it as long as the ramp rate was proper and in the ranges stated

Thanks for the input. I actually just changed the table to ramp consistently. If you saw it before you would laugh.. If she hooks up well on the street at this rate I'm going to slowly cut the delay time down for the track.

I've been following this build for a while now, and never posted.

I love it. I'm hoping I can make it to the Mile and can check this out. Not to participate of course.

Good luck man!!

other than that, nothing more than just a lack of seat time

That sucks. I got shot down for the runway battle thing in Dallas so I feel your pain. No seat time though? That's a shitty excuse! I'm about to battle some of the fastest street cars in the country with an old *** car with 4 passes and fresh un dialed in E85 tune under my belt it's all about having a good time.

Well **** me running. I just did a 4th gear pull @ 21psi and E85 and Jesus this car is fast. It was pulling like a freight train sideways at 100+MPH!

Duty cycle on the injectors was 60% and I was consuming 800lb Hr with dual 044's and 160's I think that puts me around 1000? Not sure but it felt like it.

IMO I'd like a smaller sidewall tyre for speed stuff

I've had various tyres over the years, and some of the taller sidewall tyres can feel unstable at speed.
The Hoosier DR's I was using 255/50x16 have been the worst in that respect. Strangely also the worst gripping at the top end.
I had to back out of 2 1km runs last year due to excessive wheelspin around 170-175mph with them

Swapped tyres to my road 235/45x17 Toyo 888's and they gripped far far better at the top end ( although was still breaking loose a little at 175mph ). Also perfectly stable. Still no real grip below 130-140mph though
I find it best to get into a high gear sooner rather than later, and let the torque do the work.

Despite lack of grip and stability, the same Hoosiers are the tyres I've run my best 1/4's on airfields...which is strange. But they were run at very low pressures to get them to work.

Actually debating what to buy for this year, and thinking the 245/45x17 M&H radial sounds like a good option.

Stay with the mickey . if it was a mile pull maybe think twice but not for this

You won't find a better tire for traction on rolling street type stuff

There is no reason any 1000hp car should be spinning above 100 on a mickey
