Clean and simple.

Where are you buying those relays and connectors?

Update:

I drove the car around yesterday and i must say i don't know what all the fuss is about.. The glide is awesome on the street. All this nonsense about it "not getting off the line" is BS. The car is a blast to drive with the auto in there.

I fixed a few leaks yesterday (need to check again today) i have some more minor wiring things to fix and change up the tune a bit and its ready to go again. I say 2 weeks before it hits the track.

Yeah, With a young child and a wife that hates it when im in the garage im finding it difficult to work on this thing as much as i would like. I keep telling her i could be at a bar or titty club instead of the garage but she doesn't seem to appreciate my hobby much

The OD gears are activated using a foot switch that was provided with the kit. Its pretty slick. The GV OD shifts HARD, It is very crisp. Coming from a 6spd it kind of surprised me. Also the glide shifts hard to, No delay just a nice firm kick in the *** from 1/2.

I had a few people telling me I should have went with a 4L80e over my glide and GV combo. I laughed and said good luck going WOT in OD. That 4L80E is a solid trans but I need something for 1/4 mile and high speed runs.

I hear ya! Got one of those anti-garage wives myself. Shoulda grabbed me a fat rich one that would have supported my hobbies.

So to make a pass… You drop the shifter it into low then smack the foot switch on the first shift, then shift to second on the shifter, then the foot switch again... Sounds simple, pretty sure I’d screw it up the first few times though.

Nice smooth shifts are just slipping clutches. No good if you’re running big power. You want them to engaged hard and fast. Usually the worse the shift feels, the better it is for the trans. Anytime I give a ride to a “drag noob” they think I broke something when I shift at low load. I usually just leave it in hi gear when I cruise around. As a side bonus, starting out in 2nd loads the turbo up a ton and makes all kinds of cool noises.

glide is much more efficient, lighter, and grunts the turbos better off the line.

I wish they make a glide with an OD strong enough for 1k hp. it would be a great tranny!

most of the new stuff has gears too low to launch. the glide is 1.82 and even the 480LE is 2.48, new stuff is really low into the 3s and even 4s in first gear

480LE is a great box, but the glide is the way to go for quarter mile and with reasonable rear gears, it works great and the street too!!

That car is light enough I bet a glide works really well in it. I'm about 90% sure that's the logical choice for my next build as well.

Nice to see it's back up and running. Don't go complaining about how busy you are shifting the glide and the GV, it should be cake after using the 6 speed:-).

Look at that, You're already a professional. The shifting is super easy and really makes the car enjoyable. Its a shame good looking women require so much attention isn't it? Funny you mention the noobness. Yesterday my buddy went with me on the maiden voyage and was like "it needs adjustment" I laughed and told him that means its working right.

I wish they made any tranny with a OD strong enough to use under WOT. Currently the GV OD unit is the only OD unit that can be used under WOT. They know this and charge accordingly. Im still waiting to see how much HP this thing eats up..

The car has ZERO hesitation off the line and wants to jump up into boost instantly. I was pleasantly surprised.

Glad to hear its working out for you. Post some new videos once its sorted.

Would a glide (w/o GV OD) be the wrong tranny in a somewhat full weight turbo T/A w/ a 275/60-15 tire? Versus a TH400. Part of me is re-thinking the whole 4L80e approach.
