05 S2000 (turbo LS1 swap)
I've decided to go in another direction with my project car (05 Honda S2000). The previous setup was a stock F22 (11.1:1CR); 21psi with an s366; 2000cc injectors; Walbro 400lph fuel pump; Ford 8.8" rear (3.90 Richmond gears/Eaton Posi LSD; DSS 1000-hp axles). Tuned by me on E77 using AEM EMS (585rwhp). I'm running a GM flex fuel sensor, so I'm able to change fuels dynamically; although, I try to maintain at least E70.
The car was a lot of fun, but I wanted to build something different. One of my friends from the S2000 board recommended going with an LS1. I've been scouring the forums, learning as much as I can about different setups/recommendations/etc (my favorite part of a new build!) Initially, I'm going to simply swap in a stock LS1/T56 to ensure I'm able to mitigate any potential wiring gremlins/etc.
Subsequently, I plan on tossing truck manifolds on there with a decent sized turbo. My goal is 600+whp. Ideally, this build thread with be interactive. I'd love to hear feedback/recommendations/critiques from the experts on this board (and from my short time here, there seem to be quite a few).
As previously mentioned, I tune AEM (v1/v2). I saw a few threads that mentioned an AEM EMS PnP option for LS1s, but haven't been able to find any companies that actually sell the units (discontinued product?). If I'm unable to find an AEM box, I'll likely go with either HPTuners or EFI Live (input would be great!)
Progress will be glacially slow initially. My wife and I are selling our current house while we search for a new one; time to work on the car is almost non-existent. I'm going with the Import Muscle swap kit, although, I'm not sure the truck manifolds will fit with the unconventional mounts.
Pics of the flex sensor in action (E51):
Pics from a meet last fall:
Crossmember removed (need to move the EPS rack foward a few inches):
Ford 8.8"/mounting brackets:
Line locks:
Thanks for reading/looking!

If you use the other mounts from ill speed on V8 s2000 you can use truck manifold. If not, you need short headers like a have.

I'm leaning towards HP Tuners. I'm slowly acclimating myself to the software. Obviously, tuning concepts are similar (regardless of the EMS), so the learning curve isn't too steep in my case. My wife is going shopping with friends this weekend and I'm dropping Rafa (my son) off at his grandparents house, so I'll have a little time to weld a few holes (from drilling the spot welds on the old crossmember) as well as cut the frame in a few places. I'll update with pics.

the holley dominator i believe is the one where you can have a whole world of data logging different inputs etc. do some searching about the holley units and you will see what all they can do as compared to hp tuners. the one you choose just depends on what you have already and how you want to go about the rest of your setup and accessories.

Started cutting the frame in the requisite places (still have a small section near the brake lines/steering shaft):
One of my line locks (running two since I have ABS)/Wiring tucked; need a grommet for the firewall:
How the car is sitting currently:
Need a new hood. I'm not going to run the dumptubes in that location this time.

On the ECU front, I have tuned both EFI live and HP tuners, and EFI live offers a lot more ability and fine tuning than HP does. Especially if you are familiar with building custom tune parameters and building tables (Which you likely are with AEM). If you aren't going to go Holley (Which I highly recommend if its in the budget) then I would say go EFI live all the way.
