Default Upgrading P1SC ?

Hey Guys,
I'm getting a used P1SC unit in a couple weeks. I had always wanted the D1SC but couldn't pass up this deal. Can I run 8-10 PSI on the P1SC without over-working it ? So why do most people go with the D1SC ?

Hmmm...anyone know if ATI will take the P1SC and send me the D1SC for a small fee ?

If its a P1SC-1 it may do what you want, I can see 8.5 psi with a 3.2 pulley on a cool day, stock engine + LT headers.

I dont think there is a 'trade in' program from ATI.

Can't wait till i get this unit either way

Who can tell me what Blow-Off-Valve I should get to make those great sounds

You are not going to max out that head unit...... you will max out the intercoolers before you max out the P1-SC...... and ATI does not have a trade in program. If you run into belt slip problems give SD Concepts a call they can max out the P1-SC at around 700 horse.

ATI doesn't have a trade in program but they will rebuild/upgrade your P1SC to a D1SC for a about $1100. You should be fine with the P1SC, though.

We offer a "trade Up" program...you send us your P1SC and we send you a NEW D1SC for a little more than what ATI charges to take the P1SC and make it a D1SC. If you choose to stick with the P1SC, our upgrade cost is $1075.00(retail is $1180.00). If it's a P1SC-1, our upgrade cost is $1160.00(retail is $1280.00). If you wanted to go with our trade up program, we take your P1Sc and have a D1Sc dropshipped to you for approximately $1275.00 plus freight. Can you give me the serial number on the P1SC so I can see what application it was built for...do you know if it was ever in for service?

Congrats Zoltan You are going to love boost.

I can't see the reason to go D1, unless you are building a race motor. For the street, I would think the P1 would be plenty. Plus the boost would come in sooner for the street.

Thanks Ed. The D1SC is just a little more manly/balsy
Might as well go with the F1

That's very interesting. I'm at 7psi with a P1SC and 3" Reichard pulley, 8.65CR and stage 2 blower heads/cam. Can I trade-up higher than a D1SC?

we don't normally sell up any higher than the D1SC but let me work up the prices on that for you...do you think you really need to go bigger than the D1SC? How is the car used? How much power are you looking for?

SDCE, Would a P1SC unit put out 600RWHP without overworking it ?
I'll think about the upgrade to the D1 but it's just a little pricey for me right now.

I am interested in an 8-rib setup though, is that possible for the P1SC.
thanks for the help

I'll eventually be upgrading my D-1SC to an F1 or F1R, depending on how well the SD stuff works out for me, I'm confident though

Going turbo. It runs fine and does a good job. I always wanted a turbo when I got my car but when I was looking to do something major to it(heads/cam;blower;turbo) the turbo systems were having their problems not to mention the cost was crazy, so I went with the P1SC.

I now have a place to do everything I need to put a turbo on the car, so I'm going to do it now.

Keep me in mind if you get rid of the MMS pulley.

I will. I am thinking of selling everything(including all blower pulleys) with the kit, but I could make the exception and sell it to you seperately. You will want the 4" or a 3.8" blower pulley to go with the MMS pulley.
