Default Turbo coolant feed and return questions

I'm looking for additional guidance on my coolant setup. Currently I have a fitting the top of my water pump for the feed and the lower passenger side of radiator for return. I've been reading around the forum and find that I might have a flow issue at the return. Any suggestions? I'm looking to run the return to a freeze plug in the side of the block like the old APS kits but am having a difficult time finding the fitting adaptor. Any pics of other coolant turbo setups would be nice.

Do you absolutely have to have it water cooled? I blocked off the whole water cooling system on my APS kit. I know quite a few people that have on there turbos as well. It truly isnt needed.

Oh no. I just meant the turbo is coolant only. No oil feed or return

Use the heater hose connections on the water pump.
If you are still using the heater in the car pick one of the hoses and go from that fitting on the water pump to the turbo and from the turbo back to the hose that was on that water pump fitting.

If you are not using the heater in the car, come from one water pump fitting to the turbo and from the turbo to the other water pump fitting.

Is there a COMP turbo that bolts to the APS manifolds? I can take a few pictures of my setup, but its ran just like the APS directions explain.

No, 200 degree water is to the turbo what a cold beer is to us!

I'm running an Incon kit. Same issue here. I had a buddy make the block coolant plug but on 5.3's the plug is in the back, not in the front like LS1's and it was right above my turbo. Took the advice from this thread and came up with this.

No. Straight from heater hose ports on the pump.

I'm not sure how yours is setup. I did not have the heater core hooked up when I did this. I'm changing my setup and will be putting a "T" in both feed and return to make sure the turbo has constant coolant flow.

It can if you're using a Meziere water pump and a "delay off" relay, otherwise I doubt it.

I may be wrong, but I believe that there is always coolant flowing through the heater hoses in forth gens, as long as the engine is running. Third gens had a vac operated shut off valve so that it only flowed when the heater was selected, but I don't think any car is set up like that anymore. Thusly, you will always have coolant flow to the turbos is the engine is running if tapped into the heater hose.
