I thought it was a stock 5.3........at least that's what the tag says in the pic from ERL!

It sucks having to depend on people to do things for you, but that's the nature of this hobby for most of us. It would be nice if the shops were honest about the timeframe to do work but places like that are hard to find it seems. Hopefully the chassis guy gets you all straightened out so you get the bug back to finish this up.

Good luck with the build.

It sucks. Most of us have dealt with this at one time or another. Really blows when you agree to the price and then the shop has no problem wasting your time. Frustrating!

this project continues to be stale for me, and with other things taking more and more of my time I would be interested in hearing options for purchase of major components / all of it.

any questions please deezuns79@gmail.com

I wish the dame thing was a little further along. I've done the "buy boxes of parts project" before and it wasn't pleasant.

What would it take for you to get the thing in true roller form?.....so that I could might buy it from you in that shape???

im putting together a master parts list but i really need a buyer for the car and or engine/drive train before i bother selling the water pump(for example) so those are what i am working details for first.

Just got done reading the thread and i was very excited to see the results until i read the last page and now bummed you're selling it but i undrestand.

Was all the work that was frustrating you completed by the chassis shop(s)?

I'll keep an eye out for parts if it goes down that road.....

as good a question as that is, im not on here to get into that.

we have had multiple conversations during the year.
safe to say i would not have taken it in dec. knowing it would still not be touched.

That last post should really help you to get rid of it. Lots of pics and a nice detailed list of parts/expense for labor already completed.

I did show some interest, but I have to be honest in that it would be out of my price range at the moment.

Either way, I hope the end result is such that we can see this thing completed. First class build.
