Which GT55 turbo were you looking at? There are tons of options out there on GT55s so let me know and we can go from there!

The Y2k's I have on the shelf have the BILLET 88mm compressor wheel, Ball Bearing Center Cartridge, and the 101mm exducer and 108mm inducer turbine wheel with 5" discharge on either a 1.23 or 1.39 a/r

Size wise I don't have a GT55 here but it appears the compressor cover on a GT55 would be a touch larger, but not a lot.

The better question would be what are you using the turbo for and what are your goals?

Do they have a turbo that can compete with the PT88 yet?

Turbonetics' new mid-frame will pack an 75, 79, or 83mm Billet compressor wheel coupled with 87.6mm inducer/ 82mm exducer turbine wheel.

So far: We made over 900whp and our testers dyno couldn’t register anything more since it maxed his dyno at 1100lb/ft of tq. That was only at 22psi on an LS-motor.

In your opinion how do you think it will stack up against the PT88?

With the design of the wheels and larger housing I am a firm believer it will out perform a PT88, however it is physically larger as the Turbonetics mid-frame uses the y2K compressor cover. With this, the fit of a PT88 will be a lot better, much more compact.

So would that mean that it would not fit with your kit or that it would just be tight fit?

The Turbonetics Mid-frame with the y2K large compressor cover will not clear on the T4 kit without some mods.... it is a BIG T4 in comparison to others.
