Default No water pushed, 9.84@144

Although 3 runs clean isn't a sure thing, it's a great start. Not a drop in the overflow.

I did several things.
Hand sanded the heads to completely remove the machining marks from my guys surface job. (We both messed up there)
Lightly did the same to the deck,
Switched to FelPro MLS blue perma torque gaskets that fit the bore on the L33.
Added a 4 corner coolant crossover from an LS1. Thanks Mikey!

.017 RT
1.65 60ft
9.84@144.04
Boost is right at 203 kpa in high gear. Full throttle half way through 2nd.
The track was good tonight. Ran out of time to try a foot to the floor pass.

The tuning changes have boost happening .5 sec quicker.

I also had to clean the injectors. Black goo from the E85.
For now I'm adding Lucas Ethanol treatment. I'll see how it does.

Ron

Reliability is a better result than getting times !

Are those the Felpro gaskets with the laser welded raised section at the fire ring ? There was some marketing hype at PRI a few years back about some new MLS gasket they had, but they never really seemed to become available.

That's great news! There A LOT left in it. Imagine if you could launch on some boost.

Correct on the gaskets. Not even the perf line. It's their blue coated perma torque. 26191pt.

Actually, first pass it blew the tires off in 2nd and got all sorts of crossed up. The boost comes on like a 500 shot of nitrous!

The black goo is probably old buildup from the previous fuel you ran. E85 will actually break down sludge inside an older fuel system and cause that. Most have to replace fuel filters frequently when first switching to E85 due to this.

Congrats on the passes!

Awesome Ron! Did you get any video this time around? You SAID you were going to get video next time!!!

What were the 1/8th mile ET and mph just curious? Good news on the timing also. Glad that is working out for you. Can't wait to try it out myself. You are pretty much running 30* in regions up to about 5psi?

Thanks guys.
The fuel system is pretty much all new except for the fuel cell. I do plan to remove the foam. It's old.
1/8 mile was 6.43@115
60 was actually a 1.68.

We did get a video. At night with a cell phone. Besides being out of focus, dark, and can't read the board, it was a good one!

curious what kinda timing you were running at 15 psi. Get that thing to leave and you'll be seeing low 9's and maybe 8's!

I am at 28 at 120 kpa and by 150 kpa it's at 16 for the rest of the run.
Still sorting all that out.
The fuel in that range goes from 13.5 on the brake to 10.8 as well.

Congrats Ron! With a good 60' you have already matched the performance of the 496/spray and you haven't even cranked the boost up yet..

22 psi and let'r eat.. 8.99999? Maybe so...
