Default opinion on timing for my 98 camaro build

specs of the car.
forged 364ci engine(9.8 comp)
unported 823 heads.
arp 2000 head studs torqued 105ft
235 243 620 623 cam 116+2
twin 62/66 turbos. stock truck manifolds 2.25 hot side 3 dps
5inch core air/air intercooler 3inch in/out
ls3 intake 113lbs injectors.
magnafuel 750 4703 fuel pump.
2 14gph 100% meth

we took the car/this engine to kc2k14
at that time we had a 2006 gto stock cam shaft in the engine.
car was on e85, 19.2psi 19deg timing car went 1.43 60ft 5.88 1/8 and 9.03 at 153mph.. on a stock cam shaft....

I feel at that time the timing was very safe on e85 and 19psi.
With new cam and now the car is on 93 pump gas what is the limit on timing.

been tuning all day on pump gas and 19.5psi 16degs, car feels just as good as it did at the kc event. but was wondering how much is left on the table safe wise....

86deg temps to day and the iat where staying around 100deg at the end of the pull..

need some opinions... thanks

I don't usually go above 15 degrees of timing once I go above 15 PSI. Could I get away with a few more degrees? Probably, but I try to leave myself a safety margin. If I had to guess, you're probably pretty close to it.

16 deg at 20 psi on pump gas is brave. I'd be at like 12. Then again, I wouldn't run that much boost on pump.

Just saw you had meth. That changes things if you are running it here.

on 114 race gas i was thinking around 19-20degs at 20 psi then if we run 1/8 mile 25psi around 15-16 on race gas...?
afr stay around 11.6-11.9 through out the pull, meth probably factors .6-.8 afr if it would happen to fale i would think it would go 12.2-12.8ish

Any idea where it's peaking ?

Just curious as looking for a more rev happy cam myself, and your timing stats dont look too dissimilar from some Ive seen I might be interested in, although I'm 382 with 6468's

Graphs before/after with the stock cam would be very interesting.

LOL the thing never feels like it peaks... never had it on a dyno.
I may switch back and forth from pump gas to e85 to see mph/et difference with the new cam.

my car weights 3872 with me in it 3/4 tank of fuel... ..(street car)

When I had the blower, I had a few cams, but none ever really wanted to pull over 7k. Usually best shift was around 67-6800

Even now with the turbos, GT9 cam, same sort of thing. Which just isnt enough really. 150mph would be around 7k with the 26" tyres.
Ideally I'd like a cam that pulled damn hard to 7k, with some to spare.

TBH although Ive seen people with hydraulics go that high, and higher, I think a solid roller is probably my best option.
Only caveat...I must have a smooth idle, I hate lopey cams !
