Default 1971 Chevy C10 Stock bottom End LQ4 10.1@133

Figured I would share some of my results of my home built turbo rig on this section.

Specs

1971 -Chevy - C10 - Long Wheel Base - 3,737lbs with me
2005 Junk yard find Stock Bottom End GM6.0L aka Lq4
Borg Warner S475/83 T6, JFR 218 Cam, Custom Hot Pipes
Ebay Intercooler, Alky Control Meth
Head studs, GM MLS Head Gasket, Victor Jr Intake, Aarons elbow
Siemans 80lb inj, Walbro 400 & 225 intank pumps
Stock 80e, Hughs 3000 verter, 3rd gear mod for launching
Stock suspension, 315/60/15 MT ET Streets
EFI Live on going tuning efforts thanks to Ls1curt

Built for the street, no cage, etc... but I did manage to pull 1 pass out the back door, then had my wrist band cut and sent home.
Ran a few 1/8 mile passes to see how well the 3rd gear mod would work. Turns out it is flawless. cut 1.6 to 1.5's 60' all day. thing was dead hooking after a rainy morning waiting for the track to open.

Best pass 10.1@133--6.54@107.9--1.54 60'

best full pass

Lebanon valley dragway

home built turbo kit

Impressive times. I would never think that it only weighs 3700 pounds. I would think it would be allot more then that. What kind of boost did it take to go that fast?

Launching on the foot brake @10#. Then stayed at 17#. To fix my previous boost creep issues. I welded a small stainless turning vane at my gate location to direct more gas flow out the gate. I also increased the size of my gate exit tubing. I ran the 12# tial springs in. Prob could of had a heavier spring setup.

As for the weigh the only reductions I have is plastic fuel cell under the bed and radiator support cut/modified to fit turbo. The rest of the truck is bone stock. I've seen a few other long wheel bases weigh the same.

I can't believe it doesn't weigh more! Great times.

Is that 93 octane and methanol injection for fuel?

What RPM do you shift it at?

Nice job! Looks like you got tired of the hand shaker in there
Should go 9's easy with a little more launch and boost. A Yank 3400 converter would also improve ET and mph I bet.

Nice job! Cool truck.
Going to be satisfied with a low 10? Or are you looking to get your wrist band cut off again?
