71 camaro 5.3 swap build thread
Getting started on a swap for my 71. I have picked up a L33,799 heads, with ls6 intake. It already has arp head studs and rod bolts, comp cam and springs-273hr-14. Im planning on doing a 76mm. Once I figure out how to post pics I will post my progress to this point.

Made a little progress. Got the motor in the car and working out some fitment issues . first fit I was 2" shy of reaching the transmission, so we bolted the motor stands to the mounts and put it where we needed and welded back in place. So far everything is working out better than expected. I'll be starting on building the hot side for the turbo in the next few days.

I've made a lot of progress since my last post. I should be doing a start up this week and then off to the dyno. I will post more build pics later and some dyno #'s

None intercooled. We're going to tune it on 100 octane and see where it goes. I'm running a comp billet wheel 78/79 with 14 lb springs and a manual controller , I think it's gonna do more than the motor will want. I'm not shooting for the moon, but hope to make some good numbers and keep it safe.

Well start up went great the car fired right up,went out for a spin around the block to check everything out and the old th350 started pushing a lot of fluid out of the vent. I figured its had its *** whooped long enough. So I got a TSI glide on the way should be here by Thursday. Hopefully I'm still on track to get this thing on the rollers next week.
