Default Turbo + Nitrous

I know this is not what most of you are expecting. This is actually a question... unfortunately not my setup.

I was wondering, I know nitrous on top of a turbo can have good cooling/ power effects, but everything I've ever read about it isn't any more specific. I was wondering whether the power gains were expontenial due to the decrease of temperature? Or is it just like spraying nitrous on an N/A engine? How much nitrous is possible with a forced induction setup with all the forged goodies? Could I run twin turbo at 15-18 psi with 100-200 shot of nitrous? Maybe nitrous on on top of 15-18 psi is overkill...

Anyway, thanks in advance.

From what I understand a 50 shot on an FI setup will be worth close to 100 when all is said and done . . . basically almost double advertised.

On the prototype turbo grand prix we went from 320 rwhp non intercooled to 430 rwhp on a ~50 shot dry 12 psi, stock motor.

That's what I was thinking. Do you think it increases as hp/tq rise? Like 1.5 times or 2 times the advertised "shot" if I were making 700+ hp?

If you do pursue a setup like that you will need to take out more timing.

Also, is that a dry or wet shot?

Tiago, checked out your website. FRIGGIN AWESOME! I couldn't pull up the links for the LS1 kit though. Also, do you fab twin setups?

LS1 kit is still coming to life, but the website is being refreshed currently
I fab anything a customer wants to do. A dry shot injects nitrous only and a wet shot injects both nitrous and fuel into the motor.

turbo and nitrous together are cool

i would think on a non intercooled set up the nitrous would have a bigger effect. if you have a killer intercooler than i doubt you would see the doubling effect.

with 2 x .024 jets (50 shot) I'm seeing around 60rwhp on the dyno. I am shutting it off at 5900rpm though so with more boost it may make more of a difference, thats with 80 degree IATs and 1000psi bottle pressure on a dry kit.

Just waiting for my roll bar to get some track times, its hard to see whats really going on with a loose converter on the dyno - feels good driving it though
