Default Twin recommendation for street

My friend is looking to due a nice 5.3/6.0 twin setup for a total-street 71 Buick and were looking for something that will be extrememly responsive - like boot off-idle. Currently has a Tremec 5 speed in the car with 3.23's. Not interested in dyno #'s or 1/4 mile time, just great response, maybe 600 hp at the engine which should be very easy. I like the Turbonetics b/c they look SO much smaller than the BW's and priced decent. Any suggestions?

A pair of T3/T04e's might be a good option to look at. They will package very easily and spool very quick! We can hone in the exact details based on wheel and housing sizes once we figure out which engine they are running. Shoot us an e-mail at: huronspeedproducts@gmail.com and I would be more than happy to get you set-up with a Turbonetics at the very best pricing or any other brand for that matter if you choose to look into other brands as well. Turbonetics will also come with a full 1 year hassle-free warranty!

TN are bad *** little turbos. My 66/65's light up instantly so I can only imagine what a 60/61mm or less would be like. Great turbos/great price/great warranty and they are much much smaller than the BW

Twin GTX2863R's or Gt2860 would give you a mean midrange punch at a 600 hp power level. The GT2860R is on the light end of your power range but would spool really quick. The GTX2863R is a nasty little turbo for a V8 tt setup that isn't trying to make huge power but wants quality and response.

Yea, some of the smaller t3/04's would be fine. Probably keep the turbine housing in the .63 range with a wheel 62mm or smaller. Most will tell you to go bigger, but it sounds like you want "factory" type response and if you only want 600 chp don't use to much turbo.

I'd like to see 2 buick GN turbos too. If memory serves the GN turbos are .63 exh housing (3 bolt) with 54mm compressors. Paid less than 400 for the pair with the downpipe and WG's.

I had planned to use a couple originally. They have a nice small footprint are are easy to work with. So small I was going to throw both of them on the passenger side. Built in WG and 90* downpipe would also help with packaging.

The GN turbos are interesting. Are these avail new or like a reman? Any links - and what is the HP potential? I would imagine these would spool off idle which would be cool.

I believe Speed Inc. was doing a build with a pair of these on a truck on tech somewhere. I'm sure a google search will turn up some info. You could get some used units and have them rebuilt by a shop also.

found it
