Default In search of knowledge... THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP

So to start Im certainly not a mechanic, however i am educated to a point.
Ive owned and worked on Fbody cars my whole life but my new project is larger than most to this point.
Im building starting a 5.3 T56 Turbo car. Shell is a 97 Trans Am
I already got a connection on a reman 5.3 out of an 04 Avalanche T vin.
I know my intention is to get the Huron Speed single turbo kit havent gone through all those motions yet because thats my last step. I want the 5.3 T56 in the car and running before worry about that.
My overall goal for my build is 700 RWHP, Budget... well as low as possible but i wont buy anything but the top end parts.
SO

Problem 1 : Given the above info I am going to need a wiring harness and I dont know what to use? Does the whole 5.3 harness work? Is there a kit thats wired for plug and play that someone makes?

Problem 2 : Bellhousing from T56 to 5.3? What would work best and what wont?

Problem 3 : My car was switched to Auto but was originally a Manual car. I need pedals and a pedal assembly but cant seem to find it anywhere

Problem 4 : Back to the car being switched to Auto, i feel like im missing parts, my current list is: Tick Master, slave, T56, pedals, clutch, flywheel, Pro 5.0 shifter... WHAT AM I MISSING?!?!

Problem 5 : 5.3 Motor mounts? Mind you car is a 97 so is there a bolt on kit somewhere or do i need to get my welding buddies on this one?

I guess thats my main concerns right now but I know more will come up.
Sorry for the ignorance but Im really stepping out of my comfort zone with this one. Im usually a bolt ons and head and cam kit kinda guy. I also usually start with a running complete car lol

First off the 5.3L is the same as any other Gen3-4 LS based motor Depending on the year.

Im just going off what my buddy did on his 97 TA since im a 3rd gen guy, He bought an LS1 K-member. Depending on what Huron kit you get, maybe look into a LS1 Aftermarket K-Member for more space.

My friend Also bought a 99-02 Engine harness then had someone pin it so it was plug and play in his 97. (gauges and everything worked, I think he did need a different GM Coolant temp sensor that had 2 outputs though). A truck harness is completely different.

Bell housing you will want one from an LS1 T56 car.

For the pedals and whatnot also keep an eye open on thirdgen.org. Lots of guys do LS T56 swaps so sometimes the pedal assemblies pop up

Hope I was a help

Jay

O.K. I will bite but first I must criticize some. You should have probably started out in the conversion section to get the swap done first. The only thing you would have gotten from this section would be the need for a tubular K member for the turbo. There are a ton of people out there to convert you a harness and get you all of the swap parts. Contact a sponsor and do some research. I don't believe a t56 from an LT car can be converted. I think it has to be an LS 98-02 T56. Pedal assemblies come available a lot in the classified section as well as consoles harnesses etc. There are also some swap threads that you can read about on here. Good luck the car in your signature looks great if that is the one you are swapping.

the LT1 T56 can be converted to work with an LS1. quite a few have done it, I cant remember who makes the kit, but its like 3-400 dollars. im pretty sure the only differences are the front plate and the imput shaft? im not positive, but I know that it can be done. pretty sure tick could do it quite easily.

Plug and play harness: http://www.shop.bp-automotive.com/19...s-93970200.htm

Any ls1 t56 will bolt to a 5.3.

Problem 3 : My car was switched to Auto but was originally a Manual car. I need pedals and a pedal assembly but cant seem to find it anywhere

Could install some v6 pedals from the junkyard.

Problem 4 : Back to the car being switched to Auto, i feel like im missing parts, my current list is: Tick Master, slave, T56, pedals, clutch, flywheel, Pro 5.0 shifter... WHAT AM I MISSING?!?!

I would add a speed bleeder to the list and check to see if the clutch safety switch is still under the dash.

Problem 5 : 5.3 Motor mounts? Mind you car is a 97 so is there a bolt on kit somewhere or do i need to get my welding buddies on this one?

Use a stock ls1 k member and rack or install an aftermarket ls1 k member.
Hope the bold information helps.

THANKS LT1RAY !!
So that harness is more than i was hoping but plug and play is nice lol

T56 should be easier knowing that

I finally found new pedal assembles through hawks

I am getting a speed bleeder with my clutch kit from Monster

And I recently decided to go to a tubular k member, most likely UMI
