I have a 4l80e being controlled with 4l60e controls (how we did it 10 years ago) but you can do a segment swap very easy
I use a 02 Tahoe base file and just activate the flex fuel tables and it mods fueling and timing based on alcohol content...
the sensor with harness (cut one end off) was around $65 from GM and place it in line on the fuel system with quick disconnects
3 wires are key one power, ground and one wire to the ECU in the correct spot
there is NO 3bar SD setup that's utilizes the 411 AND alcohol tables, but I have pushed 20+ on the 2 bar OS and have perfect control over fuel (just gotta know how to tune)

Nice. This is what I thought.
The tune file is available in the repository.
I've seen you on the HPT site. I'm spending way to much time on the Dodge section of late......

A tuner I chat with said that he uses a P59 PCM in conjunction with a stock GM ethanol sensor(inserted on the fuel rail) to attenuate the E85 tune on the fly on some of his applications. Based on that, I bought P59 and have it at the house but not installed. I'm going to see how far I can go with the 0411 and HPtuners once this stinkin' snow stops and Spring returns.

So I finally got some time over the past couple of months to finish the fuel system and convert to E85.
I thought(hoped) it would be sufficient to set the stoich from 14.2(10% ethanol pump gas) to 9.85. So initially , that's all I did. I got out most of the old 93 octane but there was a half gallon or so of it still in the bowels of the tank. I'm still waiting on delivery of my 55 gallons of Race E85 from Renegade fuels, so I hoofed it the 20 some odd miles to my local E85 station and filled two 5 gallon VP Fuel bottles. $2.02 a gallon here in upstate NY. I only poured in one bottle for test driving.
So I cranked it, set the boost referenced fuel pressure to 58 at atmosphere, then hooked up the vacuum line to the Aeromotive FPR. Looking at my pillar mounted PLX wide band, it showed 11.x (it still thinks it's a non-ethanol reading) so I knew that was rich. I took it for a short drive. Ugh... lethargic.... I went back, put her in the shop, the went hunting on HPTuners site for ideas.
I quickly found a reference that indicated that if your Wideband, still set for gas AFR isn't showing 14.7 at idle, (mine was at 11, remember?), add some value to your tunes stoich setting till it arrives at 14.7 (stoich). Obviously , if your WB was showing greater than 14.7 , you'd diminish the stoich setting till it arrived at 14.7.
So after a couple of iterations of adding to the base 9.85, I ended up with 11.5 in the stoich setting and got the 14.7 (Lambda). I took it for a test drive. WOOT! The performance is back!!!
I'm sure I had to set it to 11.5 because of the 1/2 gallon of old fuel and the questionable ethanol content (probably still a winter blend?) of the local gas station.

I came across this webpage when doing my E85 tuning:
https://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/e85fuel
If you're willing to have a few tunes pre set based on your ethanol percentage, it might be worth it.

now that youre in deep with the ethanol you might look into tuning in lambda rather that gasoline afr
that way you dont have to do any mental math or make any spreadsheets (after you set it up and get up the learning curve a bit)

disclaimer: i'm just cracking the door on lambda myself. i dont actually know anything. just reciting things i've read

With E85 stoich in the tune, HPT will report E85 AFR in the log file. Gets pretty confusing when your WB reads in gasoline AFR.
Lambda then becomes the natural progression.
I still refer to my cheat sheet though.......

Hey Jon, yes... Loving the performance. I had so many kills with no losses using your LT1 turbo setups.
I'm converting to the standup radiator (already purchased it all) soon so I can put in twin GT35's late this year.

Do you plan on getting it to the Valley anytime soon? I am hoping to get there late May since I am still waiting on the new axles. If you see the purple 68 there come over and say hello!

Hey, sure will.
I've a few things to do before I go over there. I just received my 55 gallon drum of racing E85 this week, so I'm driving around and setting my VE and spark tables and seeing where my boost levels are going (Turbosmart manual boost controller).
Your car is a beauty!

- Put the cover on the trap door (just installed twin 340 aeromotive pumps with -8/-6AN feed/return PTFE braided steel lines
- Drain the differential and refill it (Just took out 3.55 gears and installed 3.08) after break in period
- Put inner panels back in place.

Very nice. I am surprised they don't sell E98/E85 at the track yet since so many cars are switching over to it. Sounds like you have it just about ready to fly!
Thank you. The car is a good 20 footer right now. The last guy I sold it to back in 2002 just let it sit outside for 13 years so I have to go through it again one of these days and give it a fresh repaint and some interior love. Lol.
