Default low boost d1sc

I currently have a 3.4 head unit pulley and a 7.5 crank pulley which should put my blower spinning about 66000 rpm at 6700 engine rpm. I have verified that I have no leaks and no belt slip but I am only making 11# of boost. Right now I have a big red valve is it possible that the valve needs adjustment? I am at about 5000 ft elevation right now and I know that will have some effect but there are other d1 cars here that make 18 #. Another thing that might have something to do with it is the 6 degrees of overlap on my cam?

The red valve probably needs to be adjusted. That was an issue on my friends corvette with his set up. And the elevation is against you. And the cam, I can't give you any help on that. Idk but that much over lap isn't much

How to adjust it I'm insure of. The only reason I could help him figure it out. Is because I heard it blowing off boost. So I would say it needed to be tightened.

Between your elevation and your overlap, I'd say you don't have any boost leaks. At 5000 ft you're not going to make a lot of boost with a D-1SC. The only way someone there is making 18 psi with a D-1SC is with clogged cats, or on a very small displacement engine. A D-1SC at 900 ft on an LS1 with a cam and headers is doing well to make 16 psi.
