Default SDCE Track testing within......

Well, I made it home with an intact 8 rib belt

The track was alright today, but we had a major crosswind going. So no records were set ET wise.....

BUT the big news is I made a best of 16.2psi with a freakin 3.7 pulley. I wouldn't have been able to do that tonight if it wasn't for Wendy@sdce. She called me right before we went to the track to make sure I saw the new pics they posted here on the board. I only had the belt at the 12 mark on my tensioner. With the help of my buddy Josh, we got it to about 14 on the tensioner as you can see in this pic,

Now that I know how to use the tension tool, this was a snap to do with a second set of hands helping out. I didn't know about the colored dots or what they meant. Now I know they are to be lined up We got as close as we could as we were running late for the track. We will be checking the belt completely tomorrow, checking for belt dust on the standoffs. It did feel like it was slipping a little up top, just after the 1/8 mi mark but we will see if there is any belt dust tomorrow.

I have some cool in car footage that I will post up in a while.

Holy 16.2

Looks like I better change my order to a 3.7" pulley, I ordered a 3.2" pulley, thats going to be a tad too much

Let us know what you find in the morning, I should have my stuff on the car by the middle of next week.......

I'm waiting also to see kyles dyno results......

I'm hoping you don't find belt dust, etc......that would make me very very happy

You got so excited about no belt breakage that you forgot to tell what you ran.

He was only doing 1/8 passes when I was there. Car was having problems making the 1-2 shift. Was on the limiter for about 1/5 a second before it would shift. Plus the traction problems. 1/8=7.4's. I left before Jeremy so maybe he ran better.

Nope didn't forget to post what I ran, I just ain't proud of the numbers yet....
1/8mi times on the other hand are great, but the car feels like it is out of steam at the 1/8 and the pulls like a mother past the traps??? This might be belt slip, or it might be the damn CCI exhaust inserts I put in the LM tips to quiet the car down. They are so much of a restriction that one exhaust tip shot off the car last night on my second pass I spun the tires as soon as I left the pad, which caused me to hit the limiter, lifted the car shifted and then POW!! The car got LOUD and it ran a 7.50 at the 1/8 with all that drama off the line So I am kinda figuring that the CCI inserts are killing a lot of power on the topend.

But PNYKILR has it right, the car would hook decently but with the wind scaring me on the topend and the car hitting the limiter on the 1-2 shift the car wasn't going to get me into the 10's last night. I am going to adjust the tensioner to the 15 mark to make sure that the belt isn't slipping...still working the bugs out of this new set up...better times to come

Neal, Thanks Buddy Especially with the extra set of hands when we were putting the exhaust tip back on....too bad we couldn't get em both off, I wanted to see how much those fool inserts were affecting my power on top.

Here is a incar cam view with the custom Frcefed camera mount(which I made and it works awesome)
http://home.comcast.net/~gbazan/sdce1.mov
12.1megs=48 sec DL on cable...

I have my max boost alarm to go off at 16psi, so when it beeped and started flashing 16.2 psi I freaked out and started to go nuts that it made 16psi....you will hear some of that in my video

Blackbird, you are right, I am happy right now, but not happy with the cars performance. I want 10's and I hope its something simple as those exh. tips. We will have the camera mounted so that it films my gauges to see if my FP is good other vitals while I am going down the 1/4 next friday.

Yes, I believe it now Damn I hate that I put those in. I have a magnaflow coming in the mail next week so hopefully I will get the best of both worlds decent sound with better performance. Will the magnaflow flow better than the LM NOPE, but this car is too damn loud now So I hope I still get some good 1/4mi numbers with the magnaflow.

Magnaflow has some really good flow numbers, I wouldn't be too worried.
