Well, I've never told you guys what I did to my axle.......where do I start......maybe with my welding skills, or should I say lack there-of.........
So there I was, with a completly mocked up axle housing final welding the brackets....not blowing through the thick steel.....turning up the heat on the welder......AND BENDING THE F'N AXLE TUBE!!!
So I've tried a come along and about 30/40 mins with the torches and got nowhere. I've been beside myself over this as you could imagine, and has been a lesson I will never forget.

So the m88 is mosers own casting of an 8.8, it is a nodular casting, has additional/different webbing in the casting, additional material In main cap area, and improved oiling. The axle tubes are 3" diameter x 1/4" thick. It's a 35 spline unit with a spool for now(moser doesn't offer anything else for 35 spline 8.8) I can't wait to get my brakes on it and post a pic of something nice!

8.8's aren't straight from the factory. So no surprise she warped more on you. I used a large press and some heat along with an alignment fixture for narrowing a rear. Mine still had stock ends, I was just welding the tubes to the center section to strengthen it. Looking forward to pics!

I'm spending so much time out of town for work, I'm not gonna the days to start over. Kind of excited to have such a nice piece, never thought I would go this far.
It should be in next week, I'll post asap!

Well boys and girls..... I give you ......v 2.0!
Waiting on the brake lines to paint just in in case need to weld a tab for lines , otherwise just have to knock out those upper link bushings, give a nice little coat of spray bomb and bolt brakes on!
