Twin Turbonetics HPC64/65 on an .81-.84 A/R would spool quick and provide excellent power, .96+ would bring in that power further up. A/R selection is really determined by where you want your power to come in.

I'm just a huge Turbonetics fan and refuse to jump on the BW or PT train

I'm aiming for that number with my Forced Inductions Billet S480 on my 370. I have a manual trans and a good flowing top end, so hopefully that number shouldn't be too difficult to achieve...

For that HP goal I agree 100%

Also if you have boost leaks or any turbo related problems 2 turbos turns into twice the headache. And don't get me wrong twins are bad ***, but there is something to be said about keeping it simple. In the end its all about your build and personal preference, that's just my humble 2 cents...

I agree. I was going to do twins on a BBC a while ago and the more I thought about it each turbo needed an oil in, oil out, exhaust in, exhaust out, intake in , intake (boost) out and the plumbing and configuration just got to be too complicated. A big single is much easier to plumb and route.
