Heads came out really clean. I would say the oven cleaner that I've read was the best. Let them soak for about 30 mins then pressure wash. Springs will be here Monday, BTR Dual Platinum from LS1 Tech member.

Trunion upgrade showed up so those will be done today.
With all of the above done, I found my ARP head bolts were the newer short style which will not work with this block. Ordered a set of the China stud kikit so hopefully they will be in this week.

Decided to clean up the firewall, filled all the holes and got rid of all the factory wiring, wiper motor. Rewiring everything with a universal harness.
Motor is back in finally.
IAT sensor threaded into the purge solenoid opening.
Turbos are going back on with new wastegates.
Decided the compressor housings needed a little color. Not sure about them yet🤔
Got all of the wiring for the lights, fans, MS Gold Box done. Waiting on some parts to get more done.

So after 2 runs in the quarter, it would not start and found the number one rod bearing spun. Got a crank, GEN4 rods and pistons, machine work and installed everything again. The results have been satisfying to say the least.

You may want to check the transmission. Usually hurts that as well when the driveshaft pukes. Nice launch though!

Pulled it and double checked everything!! Still has the Raybestos lettering on the clutches and bushings all look great!! It will be back out soon and looking forward to getting a full time slip! seems everytime it has a good run something goes wrong with the timing systems!!

Yes!! The weak link was listening to someone else who told me to remove the middle leaf. I should have looked into doing this and found that no one removes the middle leaf in a three stack setup!!!!

Funny that you got lined up against a GLC300, haha! My wife has one. Honestly, it's a lot quicker than I expected a 2.0T to be in a small but still heavy SUV. The transmission does the platform a lot of favors. Any idea what it ran? I would guess 14's.
