Lq4 + LSA supercharger
Hey guys. I'm building a new engine for my iroc, I have acclimated a bunch of stuff over the years. I have a low mileage lq4 complete engine, I just picked up a zl1 supercharger for absolutely dirt cheap. What kind of power are guys making with this setup? I know I need ls3/9/L92 heads, but which one would be best?

I'm gonna start a build thread eventually, just gonna wait till I have more parts gathered up so I'll have updates quicker. I don't expect it to fit under the stock hood, but I'm hoping a 2" cowl will be enough. Should be. I've seen guys fit maggies under the hoods of an ls swapped third gen so I should be fine.

I may be a little confused here but I thought those heads won't work because they are rectangle port while the Lq4/LS2/LS1/LQ9, ect. ect are cathedral port? Am I correct or am I just having a major brain fart...

I may be mistaken, or completely misunderstanding the issue here, but I believe they make adapter plates to run rectangle port intakes on cathedral port heads? Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe L92 heads will bolt on to an LQ4 block as is.

Expect 450-600 to the wheels on most builds. Its a TVS1900, so expect similar results to maggy 1900 kits
Have you priced out all the missing parts yet?

Adapters are available, but they're more than a set of L92's, so you make less power for more money and raise the blower over an inch. Since its already pretty tall, it kills lots of hood choices for lots of conversions

I'm shopping around. I've found an entire front accessories for a fairly decent deal, I'm still unsure if I will buy stock injectors or go aftermarket, I'm still debating on HP goals with this build so that's probably gonna be the last thing I buy, and if you're the same "Pocket" as the one on TGO, I'm still waiting for a solution on the type of throttle body to go with lol. And I need that harness! Haha.

Most builds will be fine on the stock injectors. Up the pressure to what most LSx run and they feed 650ish hp (LS9). Thats a heck of a powerplant
Im biased to DBC so Ill be working magic to get one on there. Its a standard 4 bolt LSx flange and 90MM opening, so the cheap 90-92mm ebay units fit the bill. Had great results from the last one so Ill grab another
I am the same. First harness is squared away, the rest wont be any trouble. I highly recommend the LSA/9 or holley valve covers to clean up the sides, but they're not required. I think they look killer

I may upgrade later down the road to an ls9 blower, but for the price I paid for the LSA blower I'm fine with it for a few seasons. It showed up in the mail today, it felt like Christmas haha

Waiting on engine parts now. Picked up a set of l92 heads, that should be shipped out today/tomorrow, and just placing an order with Brian tooley for a positive displacement stage 3 cam and spring kit, new forged rods and Pistons, bearings, head stud kit, and a few other things. As of right now I'm just gathering up parts. Next thing on my list to get is LSA front accessories and a bunch of goodies from weaponX!
