Some e85 boost ?s Since i have alot of e85 stations by me and don't have methanol injection yet, I'd like to try it in my car.
5.3 @ 14psi now
On3 76,Tick turbo cam
Bosch 044 pump, 80lb injectors
-8 feed -6 return
figured I'd give the basic fuel supply info.
So the questions are.
is my pump and injectors enough?
What timing and afr should I shoot for? I have it @ 11.7 now when it sees boost.
My wideband O2 has e85 and gasoline settings. should i leave it on gasoline and just look for the different ratio?

You should tune in lambda if it's available
On e85 I'm at .77-.78 lambda and 14* of timing
Pretty conservative tune while I get everything else sorted out
Pump might be a little on the small side for corn but it'll probably work at the boost levels you're wanting, I'm using twin 340s and resized 84 injectors from fic and Im not running out of fuel yet at 730ish

why is lambda more favorable tuning e85?
if those are your plans i'd personally go twin 044's and more injector. at least 160's i'd say

Before cranking it up you should log your car to see what sort of DC you are using on lower boost. FWIW if you have an electronic fuel pressure gauge you could splice that into an hptuners pro box to log for any drops as you push more boost. I run 2000cc injectors and on 16psi I'm seeing about 70% dc and steady pressure on dual 340 pumps. I plan on pushing 22psi later this fall so i'll be watching my Lambda, fuel pressure and injector dc as I work my way up there.

The thing about E85 is they claim it uses ~30% more fuel at the same level as gasoline, so the demand is much higher on your pump and injectors. I almost went with the Atomic system but after researching them I decided there weren't enough features so I stepped up to the Holley Dominator.
Did you ever get your other issues fixed from your last track visit? Where do you run, Lebenon Valley?

At least 160's?!?! Jesus man, I am running a 9.15 with 18psi of boost on siemens 80#'ers on ethanol. I had to raise my base pressure though. But you are going to be more than fine on a set of Bosch Hi-Z 127# injectors. That is a good and fair priced injector.

Yes, Lebanon Valley mostly. Island dragway sometimes but LV is soo much nicer and im in the middle of the 2 tracks mileage wise.

Am i correct in saying, on a gas scale, if i tune for 11.5, this would be the same safe afr for e85 ?
And my DC would increase on it's own to satisfy the commanded afr and extra fuel needed,correct?
Provided my injectors and fuel supply could keep up of course.
