Default Boost a pump and boost.

Just wondering if you guys are using the pressure switch that comes with the boost a pump or something different to turn it on under boost?

Don't waste your time with a boost a pump. Put a big enough single pump or a dual pump setup in the car and be done with it. I had a boost a pump on a single Walbro 255L and it would still loose fuel pressure. Just my $.02

Can’t see why you’d need/want to use something else to control it? Boost switch works great.

You have had good success with a boost a pump ? I'm asking because the Kenne Bell BAP I ran was slightly better than the hot wire kit but I would still loose fuel pressure when I got up in the 5,000 + rpms. Lonnies double pumper was the first setup that held 58psi of pressure to the 6,700 rpm mark.

I used a Kenne Belle bap successfully. Recently sold it but it supported 780rwhp just fine.

I'm just trying to get to around 600hp. Racetronix says my pump will support around 550. was hoping with a BAP I'd be good for 600 or just over. Plus I plan on running meth.

You obviously had other issues

I can say that a friend was out of pump with twin 044s at 20lbs of boost on e85 making 1kwhp

Install booster and he now has run up to 26lbs and over 1250rwhp and not out and that was on e98

What? I haven't tried anything yet. I'm just thinking that a BAP might get me where I want to be without going dual pumps just yet.

Casper voltage booster works great and goes off of TPS, only $80. It just plugs inline with the TPS plug and makes the alternator spit out 15-16v at a certain throttle position(I think it just fakes the regulator into thinking the system is low on voltage). Ive had mine for a few years and about 4k miles and it always works. Megasquirt, MSD6010 and Holley EFI don't mind or act up with the 16v.

Interesting I guess my single walbro 255 might have been on its last leg, because I am no where near those power levels.

I think he was talking to me as to why my KB BAP wasn't working like some of the others that have had success with them.

Meh.. I've run my dual 044's up to 26lbs on E85 and haven't ran into fuel problems. What size feed/return was he running.

Where is your trap to back the power? He went 165 on 1000 at 3200lbs. Never this hear on the 1250

Just because you have the boost doesnt mean you have the power or fuel consumption

An 044 is capable of 425lb/hr at 70psi, which is is where you will be even with. Low base of 43

So 850lb/hr of fuel with two.... Use even a very efficient. Bsfc of .75 for the e85 and you are at 1130 fly wheel HP max

Give me a few weeks to get my **** back together and I'll make it happen. I've seen plenty of cars make 1k on 044's

It's gonna be tight but it's possible. The calculations I was doing in March put it close.

I've been on here for a while, just don't post that much. Hell the same thing has happened on another post I started.
