Matt, what do these trucks have for a rear end? How much power can they handle?

I don't know about the base models but the 4x4 ones ive worked on have an 8.6 10 bolt. they are strong like an 8.8 ford.

No need to be a cam installation expert just informed and relatively confident. While most seem to install a cam dot to dot and the motor runs "good", what they don't know is it installed as spec’d? Could it run even better or be tweaked for the desired results? A little reading, video watching, degree wheel and piston stop (assuming already have dial indicator and mount) and you're good to go. Take an hour while the motor is out and do some checking while gaining invaluable experience. You'll have peace of mind knowing the cam installation facts. Fairmont 5 will never happen again!

Great video thanks for sharing the 8.8 build. Is there much more involved when swapping a gear set? I have a ford 8.8 with 3.73s that I want to put 3.27s in. Is there other measurements/special tools needed to do a gear swap? I'd much rather spend $33 bucks if I can do it myself with that dial indicator rather than spend $300 for a local guy to setup my 3.27s.

I have a billet single disc PTC in mine, and I HATE it. Way too tight, and have had to send it back three times now. One of the times it broke something inside with less than 2 miles on it. I wasn't even in boost! Wish I would have gone with a Yank...
