That race render video is pretty awesome to watch in slow motion. You can really see how you have the tune setup.
Whats up with the fuel pressure? 54 at the start of the run and only 66 up top with 26lbs of boost? Shouldn't it be like 80psi at 26lbs?

10MPH sitting there on the backhalf from timing alone.

I think the last few breakdowns have inspired an ultra conservative tune... there's more on the table, for sure. And it still put down some very respectable numbers. Quite impressive.
Yet, that fuel pressure deal still has me scratching my head. Sensor calibration, maybe? Reference source, supply line size, one of the pumps not operating, poorly designed regulator??? Who knows?
In the end, it's evident it's tuned around it, and/or closed loop is doing a great job keeping things on point... IDC's and AFR were acceptable.
My armchair quarterback thoughts...
- Looks like it could use a little attention to the Accelerator Enrichment to cover the slight lean spot on the hit.
- AFR's are ultra ultra safe. Looked more like a pump gas on Meth tune, than an E85 tune.
- Timing was also waaay conservative, given the fuel.
But... that's just me, sitting on my couch, criticizing a video. My hat's off to Matt for being out there, getting it done like a boss.
9's on a "baby soft" tune, like that? Crazy. Awesome. Well done.

yeah push it and break and everyone talks ****, go 9.78 and everyone says it wasnt being pushed hard enough lol go figure
its approx 40psi fuel pressure at idle, 37 with vac so 66-67 psi is fairly perfect for the 25-26 lbs of boost i would say its all working as expected...
more than exact numbers matter for that is that i could not hold fuel pressure before at higher boosts, now i can.
i am sure a 9.50@150 would have been doable on the third pass getting even slightly more agressive with it. but driving 3 hour round trip and busting out the foot brake high 9 is what i thought everyone would want to see.

Thank you, BTW... for the RaceRender. I've asked a few times over the past few months.
If you can stand the criticism, it makes for good conversation and learning.
In reading through the comments on the video, it was interesting to note how misunderstood IAT's are. And what, why, and when they're important.
Congratulations on the times and trap speeds... and the ability to drive it home... and then to work the next day... then to Home Depot.
"Street truck, street truck", I can hear the chanting in my head. LOL
Thanks again Matt. Well done sir.
More RaceRender please.

Wasn’t criticizing. Just figured with the 3 pumps you’d overrun the FPR and have more pressure, not less. If the regulator can’t return enough fuel the pressure would go up, not down. With it peaking at 56% DC who cares… Just thought it was odd.
Congrats! That’s a heavy ride to be hitting those numbers! What ethanol % were you at?

Nice runs! I'm surprised it doesn't 60ft better with that high of rpm off the line. I'm guessing you don't want to make any more boost or it will spin the tires? Sadly I wish I could cut even a 1.6 60ft lol.
At the end all I could think was Doc had came back from the future to tell you not to make that one more pass LOL he might have saved your life.. "STOP MARTY YOU'RE GOING TO FAST"

key on, i can run 37psi base on the 10feed, and -6 return.
might have been having trouble at that time is what i mean lol
i know these internal pumps usually do not like high pressure's they flow less.

This disease, called being human, is a bitch. Always want and need more. Especially on someone else's time and dime. "Forget what I should do, here's what you should do." LOL

i would have loved to spend all day and take swings at 20-15, and move things around and see if it picks up, for sure i think next pass could have been 9.50 @ 150, i also wanted to make a pass targeting 11.30 afr and see if it woke up on fuel only

I'd really enjoy seeing some videos (with RaceRender) of sussing out these curiosities on the dyno.

If you look at the performance trucks forum there are tons of threads where they scaled the trucks. Even a quick google search pulls up 4200-5400lbs for a 2006 1500 series. I get they can be much heavier. But a minimally optioned RCSB with the creature comforts removed can easily get down around 3900-4000.
