No real update unfortunately. I was trying to get some logs a few weeks ago and my alternator took a crap for the 2nd time. Had to limp the car over to my buddies house. Then took the alternator off my blue car, installed it in the black car, drove it home, then removed it and put it back on the blue car. I ordered a Mechman 250AMP from John at Texas Speed and it just came in so I haven't even driven the car at all. Charging issues have been an issue since getting it going so I am hoping this solves all of those problems.

I know thats hardly an update!

Not a lof of updates as the car has been sitting for a few months. Pulled the 4L80E out and JD installed a Jakes D3 transbrake in and a hardened input shaft. I'm crossing my fingers that this will make the 4L80 pretty bullet proof, especially at my power level. Also picked up a smooth stage bump box and took the LNC-2000 off my blue SS and going to use it on the black SS for a 2-step. We have the annual Buick vs Ford shootout at Thunder Valley in Oklahoma that I'm trying to get the car ready for.

I think we made some realizations as to why the TCC would not lock up via HPTuners. Originally the car was an M6 car and when I bought it, there was no transmission in it. The previous owner told me it last had a 4L60 in it. So when we did the 4L80 swap I just never had reverse lights or worried about the interior harness that hooks up to the stock shifter but I did swap to an auto pedal setup. Well, the clutch trigger was just zip-tied shut so the car would always start. I think this is what is keeping us from having the TCC lockup. SO, going to continue doing some research on properly converting the car to auto so I can get that functionality back. Anyway, Ill try and get some pics and video of the transbrake/2step/bump box working.

Where is everyone mounting their Smooth Stage box and LNC-2000? I was thinking about mounting them in the glove box.

Got a few things knocked out over the past week or so. Got the Jakes D3 TransBrake in the car and nothing would work. We put a pressure gauge on the trans and it was reading 0 so we swapped in the old valve body and everything was working like it used to. I boxed up the D3 and sent it back, they tested it and one of the plates was mis-aligned so they fixed it and sent it back. I JUST got it back this weekend so hopefully it can go in sometime this week or next. I did get some buttons for my bump box and the 2step/trans brake and installed those. We ended up mounting the smooth stage in the glove box and the LNC-002 in the engine bay on the stock tower. I really wanted to hide everything but I also didn't want to cutup the harness on the LNC. We took a little video of the 2step working for the first time, set it to 4k RPMS and everything seems to be working as it should.

It wasn't time for new tires as my Et Street S/S still had life left, but I didnt want to chance them being an issue trying to launch off the brake. I went with a 275/60/15 Et Street R this time around and cannot wait to try them out.

Just got back from another fun weekend of racing up in Oklahoma. We went back to the Buick Ford Shootout at Thunder Valley Raceway in Noble, OK. Left on Friday morning, raced all day Saturday, drove home Sunday.

The car performed perfectly all day. Every time we go to an event I think, this is gonna be it, this is the time we push it onto the trailer. The GEN 3 SBE 5.3 just keeps taking more and more. My SCG1 at the end of one of my passes said that it saw 25lbs of boost and on the next pass it saw 26lbs. This is NOT sustained, it would probably be in the 23-24ish range after locking the converter.

Best ET of the day was 9.69 and the best MPH was 143.66 (DA was 2800 i believe). I set the 2 step and got on the transbrake and on the 9.69 pass it made 8lbs on the brake and the tires held fine. The next time up, I turned it up too much and it made 20lbs on the brake and I completely blew the tires off. Unfortunately that was the last pass of the day. Hopefully can get it around 10-12 and go from there next time out.

Here are a few pics:

I STILL have the front sway bar connected, I think I will disconnect it the next time out and see what happens. I have also never done anything (adjusting) with the suspension.
