No front brakes, so the burn out videos have never been very impressive!
That will change later this year. I have Santuff struts, front brakes and spindle mount Weld Magnums here waiting to go on.

Willwood rear brakes and Hawk DR-97 pads have been doing the job for 5 years.

Light cars are a wonderful thing !

Internal waste gate will not control the boost. Does spool pretty fast. Ran my 4200 converter to 5700 on the brake.
Going to add external waste gates. Just thought I would give an update.

I have never heard of internal wastegates being very effective. But I'm glad you're still making progress.

Did not have much faith in the internals to begin with. But thought I would give it a shot.
Disconnected the actuators today and was still headed to 15 lbs in about 1.5 seconds.
It runs over my 80 lb injectors at 10.69 lbs. I am moving the fuel pressure to 5 bar.
I am pretty sure 38mm WG's will do the trick if I get them in at the angle I want.
Yes I run at Mason Dixon mostly.
I would have been making passes by now if the boost was under control.

I'm sure the external gates will fix it, shame though it's one more thing to add. Did you look at the WG hole exit diameter. Alot of times they are tiny when compared to the "flapper" puck. Porting them helped a ton keeping the boost controlled in my DSM days.

I hope you get it together and get to make some passes yet this year. They run till the end of November if I remember right. They have a turkey race, if I remember correctly. Our track stops the end of October. If you're headed there PM me. If I can sneak away, I'd love to run down and check it out in person.

Yes sir.I looked at that and there is room to open it. I am not sure that will completely fix the problem. It seems the design for the exhaust to get around the flapper is quite constricted by the flapper mechanism itself. Also the supposed "8 lb cans" did not lift until 20lbs! I fixed that with an adjustable spring that lowered it to 5 lbs.
I have 2 38mm WG's coming. Thanks for the tip.

I will let you know when I go. Gates should be here this Friday or next Monday.

Well I spent 2 or 3 hours looking for my 5 bar fuel regulator.
Finally found it in a tote I had put my spare race car parts in......so I could keep them organized!

Waste gates installed (lightest springs) boost looks controlled well at 4.75 lbs.
4200 converter is stalling at 5250 on the brake.
Took a little ride today and it is pretty stout. It gets under boost RIGHT NOW!
Will need a larger fuel pump but will be heading to Mason Dixon Saturday for some testing.

10.12 at 5psi, wow! That thing is definitely going to be an animal! Just finished installing a Magnafuel 4303 on my turd on Wednesday night and I have to say it's a quality piece. I can't tell you how well it can perform on an FI application though. Mine is carb'd currently but my holley took a dump and I plan on an FI set-up in a year or so. It's noisy. As in you can hear it over the exhaust outside the car. Not that it matters on your car, lol.

Got a chance to go through the data. I lifted at 8 seconds into the run. I am mostly working on 1/8 mile. I knew when I went over the pump was not up to the task.
Timing was at 20 degrees under boost and Lambda target was .830 (8.0 afr on E-85 scale)
I may add another pump but would rather just run one.
Very happy with the test.

For a single inline pump, 4303 is the way to go IMO. Run mine for years and bought it used. Street and track duty on e85... It's a brute! (though kinda loud and expensive)

Can't beat multiple 255's (GSL392) for price vs performance at $96 each shipped with fittings. Run 3 of them with a 3 way pneumatic HF fitting and you'll have a quiet 200 gph pump for about $300. I made roughly 600whp on e85 with 2.
