Then had a NA 383 LS and ran 9.35
Then this cam only 5.3 and has been 10.49

I've always had a boy-crush on the 383, since I was, well, a boy.
I really want to get a first generation CTS-V, with the LS6, and make it a 383 by stuffing the crank and rods from a LS7 in it with some custom 12:1 pistons. Keep it naturally aspirated, with a big custom solid roller cam, and some individual throttle bodies.

Very cool! Is it a full tube chassis? I thought I’d be at a similar weight with my old 79 back-halved Mazda. Pretty surprised when I hit the scales it was 2950! (200lb driver) I’ve had to add more cage and safety crap since then so it’s over 3000lbs. I’d kill for a 2200lb race weight! I was trapping 159 with my single 76mm SBE 5.3. You’ve got an easy 160-170 trap car on your hands if you turn it up! Gotta run at least 15 to make it interesting!

It used to weigh less but had to add weight to get the rear percentage up.

No tube chassis. Just a mild steel 8.50 cert cage. I worked VERY hard when building the car to make it light. Made my own front suspension. The front end will be getting struts, spindle mounts and finally front brakes. That will put me over 2300 but plans are to make it street legal.

Has TV, shower and pooper plus solar panels on the roof with an inverter.
The wheel chair lift works great for moving engines and doubles as a Patio !
