Default Big Procharger intercooler users

Hey guys,

I've been thinking about picking up a 1300hp procharger intercooler and I was wondering who has used the procharger intercoolers that are bigger than the duals. wondering how "dense" they are and if anyone has used one and switched for any reason (besides going to A2W). Pretty much what I'm asking is are they better than the Treadstone and or bell? or is it between those two or what? (quality and efficiently wise)

Any help would be grateful.

I've got the big Procharger FMIC. I went with it from the start, so no performance comparisions available. I've got a friend with the Treadstone IC, rated for 1K if I'm thinking correctly. The Procharger is def. bigger core/thicker. For the cost thought Treadstone is pretty good from what I've been reading.

The corvette guys with the 4.5 inch thick unit have made over 1400rwhp. Not sure if this is the same as the one you mentioned out it's pretty well proven for those guys.

yep that's the one that I was speaking of

Mike is this the same one that you have? or do you have a smaller one? I wondering how its going to fit. (did you have to remove the entire bumper support if so how di you mount it?)

We have a couple different versions of the 4.5" thick units.

The vette unit flows top to bottom.
Most of the others (mustang, camaro, jeep, trucks, etc) all side flow.

Hope this clears it up.

So you're looking to increase the size but keep the procharger IC location?

FMIC is the best solution. Here's a thread I made back in 2008.

I got the 1300hp FMIC upgrade when I bought my kit from Bob @ Brute Speed. I also swapped out the front and rear bumper supports (Midwest Chassis).
