Default Supercharger for 1969 Camaro

Has anyone used the Vortech LSX Swap kit in their first gen F-body?

I am swapping a 2007 5.3 into my 69 and looking at the most "streetable" way to 400hp.

He is correct if you are looking for 400hp at the crank that might be close. To get 400 at the wheels and be really streetable I would say that kit you have linked there would not do a very good job as it down not have an intercooler. If I were you I would find a head unit and bracket for a c5/c6 corvette and get you a cheap cxracing intercooler kit off ebay for $300. The procharger vette kit puts the blower in the same spot. The procharber you wouldn't have to drill and tap your oil pan as it has a nice self contained oil system.

TVS1900 or 2300. Done. Could find one used on performance trucks dot net too and use the a truck accessory drive. Also, you would not need to buy a different intake manifold as the blower would serve as one.

I had a 2.3 Whipple on my 73 before the turbo. Awesome power curve.

Thanks for the feedback. The TVS is awesome, but dollar wise I might just go the cam and headers route.

As above, just put a Maggie on it if that's the sort of power you're after.

The Magnuson would be nice. I wonder if that would fit under the hood of a 1969 without any issues.

With a SS hood and LS3 heads a TVS 2300 will fit, but may require a little trimming near the TB. If your running LS1/2/6 heads supposedly it clears with no trimming.

I used the Procharger/vette D1SC in a chevelle I built, 6.0 with a cam
I made a little over 500 RWHP on mild boost using a blow thru carb
it was bullet proof, drive anywhere-I could have made more power, but wanted it to last-intake was close to the radiator, not sure how much room the Camaro has in front
