Default My project .

Sup guys . I am now working more and more on the Xtreme . It is gonna have an ATI procharger kit with race bypass valve , sheet metal intercooler and F1 blower unit . And the heart of this motor is an AP-Engineering 408ci with 6.0L race heads and fast intake . It is gonna have callies crank/rods and diamond pistons . I don't know what cam they are gonna put in yet , but i leave it in their hands . I think it is gonna be too much power for this little truck . My goal is just to run 9s (do i ask much ? ) Here are some pics of my truck and with the front end removed waiting for the motor and to fabricate 1 7/8 headers with 3 inch collector and 3 inch true dual exhaust :
http://community.webshots.com/album/144207444Eaolkn
It is gonna have a 9 inch ford rear and we are still undecided yet which trans we should go . We were thinking on powerglide but i don't think it would be very streetable ( yeah , it is gonna be a street truck ) so probably we would go with an th400 with translock . Tell me your opinion on transmition with forced induction motors . We are going to put an rollbar in it but that have to wait for now .

I love the T400 in my car. I never had a car with a reverse manual valve body before and I got used to it very quickly. With your big inch motor and 12-125psi you should make enough power to run 9's. I have a friend with a 95 S10 with an LT1 and nitrous and he's run low 12's with a stock engine.

Is Aruba near the Lower Antilles, ie. St. Marten?

I hope i get the motor in time cause i am going to school of automotive machinist in texas . I am gonna start in sep 8 . And i want to make a pass before going there . It is gonna have an ATI super damper and FAST 90 mm intake . Now what i would like to know is if the ati damper has holes like regular smallblock on it so i could use any smallblock cog setup on it .
Yeah , Aruba is in the caribean but we doesn't belong to the antillen anymore .

Well , over here it is around 28 degree celcius . To me this is very warm cause i just came from a cold land ( Holland ) .
The F1 blower , procharger race bypass valve , intercooler , tubing , etc in the picture are mine at the garage next to my truck . It would be costume made to my truck . Now the only thing i need is the motor so I could make everything fit in the truck and to make headers . I am gonna get a box full with bends for ls1 from headers by Ed so I could make the headers for the S10 Xtreme cause there isn't anycompany yet making conversion headers with big tubes (there is one company that have one but it is 1.5 primaries and 2.5 collector which is tooo small ). So now i'm in APE's hands but they told me it would be finished soon . My cam would be something like 242/248 according to Chris .
And for me to choose a shop in the USA isn't something I just choose in one day . I had to search alot and alot in this forum and see the good and bad things of an shop and to me APE was the best . I could even had gone with a shop closer to me in the USA like in florida but I think it would be worth it the extra shipping to get an quality work .

I am the one that have the DFI gen7 but not for ls1 . I am thinking on buying an used EDIST and the fast crank trigger and try making it work . I think it should work without problem . If you can get me the schematic on the in/out put of the edist should help me alot . I would like to run sequential too so i think i would just have to split the cam signal wire for the edist and dfi . On the dfi there is an option to make an custome ignition setup . I hope i could make it work without sending the unit to usa to reflash . I have 3 bar map and 75 lbs injectors already at home . In these days i'm going to order some nasty performance fuel rails and i already have the big SX fuel presure regulator . I think your fast is just like all the other bank to bank or did it had a flash specialy for ls1 ? Thanx

My FAST bank/bank is calibrated for a hall effect crank sensor LS1 setup.

Your best bet would be to get into contact with Craig Smith. Craig used to work for FAST and just started with ACCEL/DFI. He would now be familiar with both systems. If you post on our board that you want a used eDIST I know there were two guys selling them. I got mine used for $200.

Don't know yet . I have to check first if i could use regular cog setup on the ati superdamper . And i would like something like 13-15psi with racing fuel . I think with my heads and the fast 90mm and this motor i should make more then 750 rwhp with that boost . Now what i'm not sure is if the heads is gonna hold down . It isn't o ringed .

You might talk to Chris at APE about their L-19 head studs. It may help keep the heads down just a little better.

I put more pics here in the intercooler album :
http://community.webshots.com/user/WickedXtreme
There I put some pics on how the fmic is gonna be . I need to cut some holes so the tube goes into the engine bay . The intercooler fitted nicely there . I hope it doesn't block too much air for the radiator . I gonna check with Chris if i can get the gmpp intake cause using an fast intake in this truck is gonna be realy tight fit . With the gmpp intake i could use a elbow with tb and i have the whole pasanger side free for tubing and the procharger bypass valve . I ordered an B&M megashifter for reverse valve body and a line lock . Now i need to see whats the biggest et streets i can fit back there . I hope fit some 12.5-28-15 et streets in the back . For headers i'm still trying to figure out what bends i would need to buy .The headers would probably be midlengts . I won't gonna have the inner fenders and the exhasut is gonna go outside the frame (3 inch true dual ) with magnaflow mufflers . There is alot of work still to do . But when its finished its gonna be well worth it .
