Default Headstuds with engine in car

Im thinking of taking the heads off the car this winter and having them cleaned up , new lifters , ls9 gaskets and possibly arp head studs .

If i put the heads studs in each hole can i put the heads on in my 99 formula or is their not enough room to do that . Ill be making about 13-14 lbs of boost .

I have pulled my heads out of the car with studs in place. You might have to remove a stud or 2 but its not any harder of a job... studs vs bolts.

My heads came off my 436ci engine with head studs....no problem actually, plenty of clearance.

J bracket can stay as well, just the power steering pump has to come out/off.

Also if your going to go through that much mess and hassle with coolant and power steering fluid why not spend an extra hour and $500 and finally get a blower cam in that thing.

Good to know. I almost went with bolts instead of studs incase of a head gasket failure, because I didnt want to drop the engine/trans again.
