Volvo 242 - The frog
The first one had a M50B25 from BMW E34 with VEMS ecu

The second one had a S38B36 from BMW E34 M5, also with a VEMS ecu

So when i found another one i just had to buy it

Someone had started to build a turbo B230 in it and it was in bits and pieces so i started with some rustrepair on the floor, and it was a quick job because there wasnt any

Got the interior together

Made it driveable and got it thru inspection(and then it is road legal for two years)

5.3 LM7 from a Tahoe
Not much space for the truck intake, had to cut som plastic and reinforcement on the hood

The pan needed some cutting too, and obviously i have to cut it some more

I used this device to get the engine centered in the front while i was getting it to sit like i wanted. Makes the job alot easier

The last one with the M5 engine was a total sleeper with the stock 14" wheels, stock tailpipe and even mounted the battery in a cooler in the trunk to get the sleeper look. Don´t think the 14" will work so good on this car

Your other two Oscar-the-grouch-green 242's were both clean and cute with the little bmw motor in there... This one is going to be brutal and unapologetic.
It's hard to maintain any sort of sleeper status when you fill the intersection with white smoke and leave two trails of rubber all the way to the next light (do they have streetlights in Sweden? Lol).

After swapping a carbureted Chevy 350 and Camaro T5 into my 1990 Volvo 245, my next project is exactly like this... well, not exactly; I want to do a single turbo on the passenger side of the 5.3, and put it all in a 1970's wagon.
Will definitely be checking in here often while I continue to get parts collected.
I need to know the following:
A. How long is the part of the input shaft that is sticking out of the bellhousing?
B. How long is the part of the input shaft that is for the pilot bearing?
C. How long are the splines?
Made some brackets for the Holset twins yesterday, the exhaust manifolds should like that

Today i started with the downpipes. Made some reductions for the 3.5" downpipes so they would fit the turbo. Used a hydrualic press and some parts from a wheels balancer

Then to the downpipes
