Can't go wrong with a Borg Warner S475. That's the most common recommended turbo here.

I agree with Joe but there a many ways to achieve your goal. A kit from KBracing or Trick would work well and keep things simple.

Alot of guys have used those GT45s successfully. I have one but it only has a ton of idle time. Not much driving as i have to still tune.
I must admit i kinda wish i had have gotten the S475 as there is more room to grow and the Borgs are extremely tough turbos. BUT... they are large in size but in a truck there is lots of room for fitment.

Have you figured out what you are doing for fuel? Pump, lines fuel pressure regulator and injectors?

Yes u can get a budget ebay turbo for around $300 that will do the job will it out last or make near the power as a s475 borg will? Hell no. Go ahead and spend the couple hundred more and get a s475 and be done. That turbo will make all the power u would want and last forever. U could possibly get one cheap in the for sale section used.

Cams are easy to swap out later. Just run the stock cam for time being with some siemen deka 80s.

Like my post above, there are many different ways to achieve your goal. Invest a bit of time researching the net and compile a parts list on an Excel spreadsheet. You can go sloppy using China stuff or higher quality stuff. Budget is going to be the biggest factor.

When you get your parts list post it up and we can evaluate.
