looks badass!!! At least you've got tons of practice swapping engines and transmissions in and out. I'm going to use quiet a few of your ideas on my buick build coming up soon.

Pretty cool what can be done with the stock manifolds-on my next project I plan on using modded manifolds on both sides, I like how you cut yours-any sign of cracking after welding?
Love the view of the mountains from your house

Looking good!
LS9 is also pretty forgiving on factory parts because it doesn’t make gobs of torque below 5k like most aftermarket cams. A nice torquey low-end cam putting out 600+ftlb at 3500rpm is a good way to bend rods, esp. on the gen3 engines.

Do you monitor KR with Microsquirt? Can it do that?
I'm not an expert but I drop to 19 deg timing the second I get into any boost on 91 octane - even 2 psi. It looks like you might be in the low 20s from your table when it first starts boosting?
I logged KR for a ton of hours and found this was the area I was most likely to knock...At higher boost the computer is averaging areas of the table which all have low timing, but the transition into boost it can average fairly high numbers - that is if MS works anything like the stock ECU.

@forced yup! plus it's pretty budget friendly haha so far so good
@callys I am now running the Gold box. KR? knock sensors? I'm sorry idk if that's what you meant there. I don't have them plugged in. I will be installing a meth kit here shortly that will turn on around 14psi. I also had little to no ring gap on my old motor (never checked it just ran the motor) so hope to see better results. Thank you for your input and I will keep it in mind !
