Default ebay turbo headers

For the price they look decent. Just curious if anybody has used or seen them. Thinking of buying them versus using truck manifold and then having to weld v-bands on them.

Thanks for the link, but nothing mentioned about the headers. He must be happy with them, didn't see any complaining.

There is nothing wrong with these headers. So far they have been great. They have nice thick tubes. I would certainly buy them again.

Lots of people running these and it has been covered many times in this section. I've been running a set for about 2-months now and have had zero issues. Probably the best $170 I ever spent on the car.

My buddy got a set, car is not done but they look great only complaint I have is they are built to same length so 1 sits a little over 1 inch further forward (cuz how the heads are) so he is going to cut it down so that way the turbos sit same distance from front.

Been contemplating trying these, but these have 3" collectors so they can't work good(LOL, Jk).

I would like to do a twin system if I can keep the A/C & do minimal modifications to the car. Otherwise I will do a single. CX makes a twin turbo header system for my goat but that'd be ~$550 more than these & I don't know if it would clear the A/C since they have it pictured with the DP running real close to where the compressor sits. They say it fits with the "stock accessories", so I would assume that includes the A/C...

I have been thinking of doing my own but this is cheaper & easier...

What are you guys using for plug wires on your off-valve cover coil mounts?

Texas: Can I see some pics of how you ran the down pipes

I moved my coils to the front frame rail of my car. Used the same plug wires and extended the coil harness

Which wires? The factory ones are only like 8" long... You mounted them under the engine?

I went back through your thread & even watched the start-up vid again & didn't get a real clear idea of how you did it. Pics would be awesome!

I cut the factory coil harness between the coils and the plug. Added wires to extend the plug 30" away from the coils. Soldered and heat shrinked the connections. I was looking for a pic but did not take a clear one. I will get a pic later.

What kind of tubing gauge thickness would you say? I have a hard time finding anything thicker than 18g when looking a cheap LS china SS headers. Of the ones that list the tubing gauge anyway. The vendors of the headers used above don't know when I ask them.

That's Gettin pretty thin... If that's the case I wouldn't wrap those unless you buy two sets if it's daily driven.

I've seen a few header blowouts.

The tubes are not thick at all. .056 at the most. The flanges are thick though .500"

http://www.shender4.com/gage_chart.htm

I didn’t know gage thickness changed with the material? But according to this chart 18g SS is .050. 16g is .063. I’d be happy with 16g if I could find it.
