Default 402ci ERL block

I have a 02 Camaro with a built erl aluminum block. The motor was built for nitrous so I'm going to have to swap out the heads to lower the compression. And swap out the cam. I have been looking at the Huron speed v2 kit with the s484 turbo. Looking for somewhere in the range of 1000/1100 hp. Compression in the car is 12:1 right now it's putting down 480hp na. I would like to run e85 also. Car is in the process of getting a moser 9 in rear with 3.50 gears. Would this turbo make those numbers?

Turbo is capable of that number pretty easily.

Do you guys think I would have a problem with that hp on an aluminum block?

Yup. Block will disintegrate.

All jokes aside, you should be fine with 12 to 1. Its on the high end for pump, but that set up will make 650-700 on pump and gate pressure. I'd leave it.

Well I'm on a stock m6 tranny, so it will only be a matter of time before it breaks. But I'll probably end up just lowering the cp.

Do your engine a favor and NOT run 12:1 and boost. You have a modest goal for a 402ci ERL block. It would be stupid to try and reach your goal with compression.

What size injector you think I would need to run e85, 95lb?

s484 will be able to put you at that power number at the rear. Not sure how low you can get your compression with different cc heads.....if you can get to like 10:1 compression on E85, I think you will do fine. Heck I would think even 11:1 wouldn't be too bad.

That type of power (1000-1100RWHP), I would play it safe and get 160lb injectors for E85.

Well that's good to hear, I'm pretty sure I can get it down the compression ratio down to 10:1. And yea I guess the 30% more fuel consumption will need some big *** injectors. Thanks for the input

You may want to talk with one of the cylinder head suppliers about possibly getting the chambers softened which will add chamber volume to lower the compression and less opportunity for detonation. The amount they can do will depend on your heads.

12.1 on that setup on e85 you will be fine. Don't get crazy with the timing and make the fuel system is up to task. There are plenty people with higher compression on corn with no issues.
