Twin Turbo Super Sport Z-28
Gentlemen, ADDED PIC's
After 2 ½ years of gathering parts, making and loosing money on turbo kits, the TTSSZ is finally alive. It’s set up mild for street use with a brand new Incon kit and rebuilt turbo’s. It did 552 at the wheels with a conservative tune and low boost.
(dynoed on a 90-degree day w/ no air to the intercoolers).
I drove it for hours yesterday, and had a blast. The center a.c. vents were yanked in favor of 4 phantom gauges; oil, water, fuel, and a 2-phase intake temp gauge that reads the intake temp before and after the intercoolers. Put the scanmaster where the SLP SS plack used to be and an e-boost in the change holder. Looks very clean.
I used everything I learned on ls1tech over the years to try to do it right.
Ie. 6.0 Heads, cam, massive fuel system, and big injectors.
Car just keeps making power and making power in till at about 5000 r’s when the tires start to brake loose, then I droop the next gear and stomp it some more.
Big thanks to Cartek – I highly recommend them to anyone, they have done a dozen or so incon and custom kits and new what to upgrade, and what to cut out of the kit. They also were happy to make all the upgrades to the kit that I learned on ls1tech.
Worst part of the week was being days away from TT bliss and reading about Noyzee bailing in lue of nos. The TT stories were good fuel for my daydreams. Im sorry to hear that Noyz, you going to like the nos, but when your ready to come back I have some info on a new tuner only TT kit. Twin 67’s and enough room to fit your fist in between the pipes to change the plugs. Will be for forged bottoms only and run 20 to 25 lbs, and put down about 1200hp’s. I saw the prototype and it is very clean. Made for c5’s only right know but can be made for the f body with some coxing and a pay off or too.
Big thanks to everyone on the board who supported me through the CAS debacle; Pro Stock John ect. I still have that kit if anyone wants it.
Wouldn’t you know Tony has been promising me the last part (intake tube) for another 2 or 3 months now. And that after the truce I struck w/ him.
Also thanks to Cablebandit, TwnTrboCE, Dave Schott, JZ’s T/A, Steve Bailey, Noyzee, Rob Ramer, John Creg, and Steve Festa, For priceless parts, advice, information and work.

Then romp it a few times, hold on for dear life, then go the gas station.
I’m very happy with the car, sounds sick. You can here the turbo's real good through the borla. Just need a B.O.V. -in the works- I got a nice 50mm.
Ill get the pic's up by the end of the week.
Drove it in the rain today, spins @ 2 lbs of boost.
cant wait to start blowing driveline parts.

drove it to work 2 times this week -48mi ea way- Had a blast!
running 8# of boost through a e-boost
I like the intake temp gauge the best, its a 2 stage, with the push of a button you can check the temp in front of the turbo and right at the intake after the intercoolers. Av temp in front is about 120, 130 and at intake is about 50 to 75, depending on outside temp and speed.
car is 2 this month - 19,000 mi - glad M.V. sent me a 2 year extention on the inspection, I would not have pased w/ no cats

Auto meter phantom 2 1/6”
2 channel pyrometer. was in the 2 to 250 buck range.
Not sure of mod # , I’ll get that tonight.
Starting to get used to it more, yesterday I really was beating on it.
---After sitting in traffic for 1 1/2 hr's on rt 80 in Jersey.--
The car hall’s *** and the power comes on real smooth.
Did some scary smokers for my friends, I say scary because I was coming out of them sideways at about 70 mph.
I yanked the intake tube and I’m having a friend weld the b.o.v. bung onto it.
Lucky for me I have 2 so I put the spare on in the mean time.
