Twin Turbo LS Boat Engine

So after researching more decided its not worth changing the manifold and purchased a set of these

So am I best to still use LS1 injectors and space the rails or would these be good and go in without spacers?

Isn't quick instant spool very important on that style of boat? I don't think a turbo is going to offer you that. If I know what kinda boat that is you guys race around a coarse with very tight turns and you need the power right away when the throttle is stabbed.

Let me know if those rails fit as described.

Link ECU something like this

Was starting to thing I should stick with LS1 injectors in case I change intake one day then the injectors will swap over

As long as the injectors are the normal 14mm o-rings etc then you'll be able to use them in pretty much any of the intakes.
At worst you may need to make some new rail mounts or something

There's really no reason to change the manifold unless it's an aesthetics or packaging thing. As long as the intercooler efficiency is greater than the turbo's compressor efficiency(which it will be), adding a little boost to cover a slight manifold deficiency will be better than a wash in comparison. Mathematically anyway. Not aware of a test to prove the theory as of yet.
Bottom line, the truck manifold will be fine.

So purchased the 1000cc Bosch LS1 type injectors, on there way. Am I correct that I will now need the plugs with pig tails to wire into my 5.3 engine as its plugs will be different? If so where is the best place to get them?

Does my 5.3 have the same end on the rear of the crank as LS1 and LS2? I need to get a drive block adapter for my drive shaft to connect to, they bolt onto/over the flex plate. Plenty of LS1 and 2 blocks available, just not sure if they are the same but I am guessing they are?

All LS's are the same, although depends specifically what part you're referring to as you mention crank first then blocks ?
Only variances are some newer engines and LSA and above have more bolts to retain the flex/flywheel, all older engines just used a 6 bolt crank.

I assume you're talking about the PTO adapter. The only options I'm aware of are for a flywheel or flex plate on the engine side and 1310/1350 Spicer bolt pattern on the drive shaft side.
LS w/ Flexplate and 1310
LS w/ flywheel and 1310
LS w/ Flexplate and 1350
LS w/ Flywheel and 1350
I used the flex/1350 for my 5.3
The bolts are nearly impossible to find, make sure the adapter comes with them and/or order them at the same time.

If ya gotta link, I'd be surprised. They need to be a small head design that fits inside the counter sunk hole of the adapter. Notice how close the bolt patterns are? It's a pretty specialized bolt. I had to grind my socket head down a bit to get it in the hole... (or was that something else? either way...)
If you've got a source for them, you'd be doing the LS boat guys a favor. $45 for the 6 of those suckers. Yikes!

Yeah, before I paid for the bolts I looked to see if ARP had something that would work. Figured at $45, at least I could feel good having name brand bolts... no such luck. Either order them when ya get the adapter/make sure they come with it or wish ya did. LOL
