Default Driving impression with a smaller AR

Weather has been crappy, but I wanted to take the car out for a test drive and see how everything was, since it went thru a bunch of changes.
I had a 92 MM turbine with a 1.25 AR-I wanted a little earlier spool, so I replaced the turbine with a 1.00 AR-it def made a diff, spools quicker
So do my rear tires, lol
I'll have to dial back my boost controller until I get some good data logs on it, see where I am at now

Jim would you say it's a big or subtle difference?

For mine it was a fairly good diff, I used to see boost starting around 3500 RPM's, yesterday with a quick blip I saw around 3 lbs before 3500
If I had an 83 MM turbine it would prob have been better, but this is what I have to work with
If warm dry weather comes around I will do more testing and datalogging.
The driveway over to the garage usually gets in bad shape with the freezing, thaw, mud comes to the surface-when I hit the lottery I will have it paved

Is't 5.3 or 6.0 ?? auto or stick ? I am going to swap my 5.3 with gt45 soon .
I am building lq4 and looking for s475 but Am not sure which turbine to go with ? I am leaning toward 83 1.00 A/R as my truck is heavy and got manual trans ( daily use ).

That's much better than my s475/83mm/t4 1.10 does...I don't see positive pressure until 3400 or so. This is just rolling onto the throttle from a steady cruise.

if you have an 83mm S475 and don't see PMP until 3400.... you need to work on your tune.

LOL always appreciate the input GMC!!! At what point was the 75/83 tapped-out in your case...ever document that?

I really cant complain...any more power down low at it would just burn the tires worse. Going to try and get this dam boost control rigged-up.

I was able to go 10.82 at 130 @ 5045 lbs (per RPRs scale) with the 75/83 maxed out.

I haven't been able to push the S480 much before this happened:

What size exhaust on the truck with the 75/83? All the way out the back?

4" from the turbine to the rear bumper.

My new setup has a cutout right at the level of the trans bellhousing but I haven't opened it up at the track yet. I'm seeing 20-21 psi on the heavy JGS spring. Should pick up a ton of power with it open but don't know how much more the old 2002 SBE can handle.

16 psi in 1st, 17 in 2nd, and 18 in 3rd with the converter locking at 100 mph. Locking the converter picked up almost 2 tenths and 3 mph.

Any muffler or no? I've got 4" on my Nova all the way back with a straight through Hooker max flo. Same 75/83 turbo also.

It's a Diamond eye duramax exhaust with a 30" Magnaflow round diesel muffler welded in. It's extremely tame. Coupled with the 212 cam, you'd never think it had more than 350 hp. lol.
