Default Compressor map question...

Ok, first post. I need help understanding if the turbo I have will work to make the power I want.
1968 Camaro, lq9, '02 Z06 cam, PAC1219, W2A, 80lb deka,Meth/water injection, ls9 gaskets and studded, T56. Tuning with HPTuners when I get that far. Found a good deal on an EFR9180 and bought it, my local turbo shop highly recommended I try to find one of these so I did. After some reading of how compressor maps work, it seems like it may be too small for the 6.0L? So I'm asking you guys for some help. What do you think? will it work?
Thanks in advance.

While you are waiting for someone that can answer your question you may want to mess around with this site assuming you do not know about it. Click on "Enter MatchBot" and have at it.

That's cool and all, but you never actually said how much power you want.

ok, a better question may be what will it make? I have played with the matchbot a lot and it seems to start falling off the map at 4000rpm. How much of a problem is this? I think I'd like to see 800 at the engine eventually.

For the amount of money you can get out of that turbo, return it and get a box stock S475 for $650 or so. You can make 800 flywheel with that turbo and it be very reliable.

I thought of that, I like that the bov and waste gate are built into this one though. It's clean looking. Do you think the drivability and tuneability will be better with an s475? I got a decent deal on this efr so I'm not into it for stupid money. I will look at the s475 on the matchbot tonight, but from the quick specs it looks like it moves 98lbs and the efr moves 95lbs. So I guess I need to check the map, I don't want to lose the lower rpm boost as I suspect the car will spend the majority of the time there.

Compressor map isn't the only factor here.
Turbine plays just as big of a role. If the turbine is too small, the entire relationship with the compressor is thrown off and efficiency drops.

Ok, that's the part I don't understand very well, is it too small? If so, I will go with popular opinion and sell it for a bigger turbo. It's a 1.05a/r t4 configuration.

I thought you could not get the integrated wastegate on that turbine housing? If it's a T4 1.05 is might be fine in your application especially with a stick.

Well I actually have both turbine housings, the integrated t3 and the non wastegated divided t4. And I have my local shop trying to find an itegrated non divided t4 housing now. Also, can someone tell me why having a standard transmission would make the turbine size more acceptable?
