Supercharger vs Turbo.... OFFICIAL ARGUMENT THREAD.
Let's have some fun with this...
Rant on.... have at it... let it all out. Make your feelings known, don't be shy, bash one or the other, hell bash both.
At least we can keep this in one thread and if it gets good, I'll sticky it.

Everyone already knows the answer to this...
...for those of us who do all of our own work:
turbochargers require fabrication skill, mechanical skill, tuning skill, enjoyment of metalwork, and so forth (key word: skills)
superchargers are more likely to come as a 'kit' and install quietly for those with less skill/desire for metalwork. Not as great in the sack as a turbo, but hey its easier. The same people who spend 6k on a procharger probably also spend 3k on their fuel systems, in the form of another 'kit' and so on.

Here is what I think a great turbocharger system should look like:

Fabricating a turbo setup is an art form. There are those of us who dream of the colors produced by a properly sharpened thoriated tungsten proper temp TIG weld while dipping and weaving into it's stainless arc puddle. We wouldn't dream of buying a bolt on 'kit'.

Dumb blondes can recognise turbo s therefore give up the kitty Kat Instead of saying um what's the spinny thing making that noise with the belt thing running around it
